Uncle Joe still making the World a better place 70 years after he karked it.
More like one big kid doing that while the other, smaller, one is backed into a corner. Some other bigger kids are watching from a distance telling the smaller one to hit the big one in the nuts if they come close. This all feels really nuts.
It feels like both sides are purposely escalating out of sheer stubbornness regardless of real intentions. Like someone else said in the thread, two kids in a playground slowly walking toward each other windmilling telling the other to get out of the way.
It's alright a bit grey , cold
People seem okay. Pointing and using fingers in the air for quantity at the supermarket is passable.
Drinks are good. A steak meal for 2 with decent meat about 50 quid.
It's not a cheap cheap place but cheaper than UK.
Hmm. I was expecting a lot cheaper than that!
No but they did quietly pass some legislation about the use of mass graves during peace and war time'If the Russians have started to build field hospitals, then you know it's happening. Any sign of these being built?

On the other hand a small bottle of zubrowka vodka like maybe 150ml or abit more was about £2 or so.
This is not 10-20 years ago when everything was silly cheap.
I think I paid £30 for one rib eye premium steak and that wasn't the most expensive.
Chanpagne is expensive, in supermarket/stores you might be paying £60-£100 for what you can buy in tesco for £30-40.

So basically imported stuff is expensive local ischeaper and they don't have sugar tax or unit alcohol tax as far as I can tell.
30-40 minute taxi for foreigners about £20 (Airport transfer for example)
Zubrowka vodka is imported from the EU.
I mean at what point would eu/USA be dragged into an actual full scale war? How far could Russia get?
I think a limited invasion is almost inevitable at this point. All the rhetoric from the west seems to be around imposing sanctions if he does, which is akin to saying "No, No, Bad Putin, In your bed!"
