We're definitely in wishful thinking territory but I wonder if such an event could put an end to this war, it's not exactly 100% Putin behind it alone though...
Honestly I doubt Putin's demise would see the end of this, one could hope, but I think this runs deeper within the Russian power structure. I think there is too much invested in the upper echelon of Russian power to let this go, Its corrupt from the top down. It will take a Coup or complete turnover of the Russian Government to see an end to this.

Interesting. It could be that someone is bricking it.

I saw an interesting take on this that perhaps Russia are enhancing their defenses not out of fear of Ukraine but out of fear for US if Russia decides to do something that encourages a response from the US, so either nuclear or chemical weapons

The other more likely take is that they're just doing it to remind the Muscovites they are at war and did to install some fear/morale into them

Sadly at this point we can only speculate. IMO it is a fairly definite sign though that Russia has no intent of winding down this war or try to find any kind of peaceful, negotiated way to resolve it and if we don't get Ukraine the hardware to put Russia's current forces committed to Ukraine on their knees and quickly Russia is likely only going to grow into this fight turning it into a long slog until one side or the other is depleted.

US has made it clear that if at some point they are forced to enter the war, they will not attack Russian federation territory but they could attack any Russian asset outside of the Russian Federation borders - so Moscow itself has nothing to fear, the only Russian items in danger is command centres, bases, depots and anti air sites that are inside Ukraine, as well Russian navy vessels near Ukraine and potentially Wagner bases in Africa

France has announced a military budget upgrade which now means it's annual budget will be double compared to 2017 and earlier

France's new annual military budget will be set at $82 billion, making it the 3rd highest in the world behind the US and China

Reports that one floated away turned out to be just a load of hot air.

There's multiple reasons mostly political and mostly involving WW2, but an important one is that German tanks rolling into eastern Europe would be an epic boon for Putin in the infowar and result in a surge of Russian volunteers (including veterans), so unless they are going to be sending hundreds of tanks then it would harm Ukraine more than help.

If Ukraine say they need the tanks then send the tanks.

If they need 100s, send 100s

Is this real or fake? What is this information from?

Seen quite a few drone videos from earlier in the war around Kharkiv (and other parts of the war in the east) where the Russians would just advance over massive open fields like that with infantry in a line and a small number of tanks/APCs. Most of them would die then an hour later they'd do it again...

If this is true I am wondering how many hours and soldiers they got left? It must be Wagner's prisoners.

82 Billion USD will really bolster their supply of white flags :D

Not one to celebrate death. However, I'd pour a whisky to that!

If Putin was to go, I think a fitting end would be for him to spend a couple of weeks living in a freezing hole scraped into the ground, poorly dressed and equipped for the winter and underfed, while random explosions go off around him, keeping him awake and constantly on edge until eventually, at some point in time totally unknown to him, a VOG-17 dropped from a drone goes off at his feet, blowing him out of the hole while peppering him with shrapnel, leaving him slowly bleeding to death in utter agony in the mud.
