Isn't Russia monitoring all rail and major road movements from Poland to Ukraine? Spot large transport trains, send in a volley of missiles. I have always wondered how Poland and others are getting equipment into Ukraine. Be interesting to read some stories of those involved and the tactics used.

Russia hasn’t proved particularly accurate for many of its strikes so far and the reduction in long range strikes suggests they are running low on such capabilities. It doesn’t sound like there will be that many tanks arriving yet either, they’ll probably be drip fed in.

Russia found a few more tanks to throw into battle but their own forces don't even want them!

Who can blame them given the effectiveness of our anti-tank weapons.

I think Russia got high off their own supply of propaganda that the west was a bunch of scared woke pronoun fixated chai latte drinking weebs.

I mean, we are but there comes a point where Russias invasion of Ukraine causes us enough pain that we actually act. More pain = more action.

And also woke doesn’t equal crippling corruption or a brain drain. Plus our value for life has improved the capability of our military, more armour, more longer strike and automated systems.

So what's so good about the Leopard 2 tank?

Good news to hear Germany has pulled it's finger out (by the sound of it) but I'm just curious to know why these tanks are so good?

(My area of knowledge is nuclear weapons, I know literally diddly squat about tanks!)

White House: Biden to Deliver Remarks on Ukraine at Noon (EST)

We have been hearing from the Kremlin too in the last few moments.

Russia's foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova describes Germany's decision to supply tanks to Ukraine as confirmation of what she says was a "pre-planned war" against Moscow.

As we've been reporting, Kyiv has for months asked for Western tanks that it says it desperately needs to give its forces the firepower and mobility to break through Russian defensive lines and recapture occupied territory in the east and south.

Yes, you attacked Ukraine for a year before we gave them tanks to defend themselves as the west "pre-planned war" against Russia...

How does that make sense to even Russian people.

It get the impression it doesn't have to make sense, it just has to vaguely fit the picture and the people won't make too much fuss as they're scared of the repercussions.

A burnt out T14 hull is going to be a big PR victory for Ukraine and seems inevitable given that information.

Same reasoning behind why they've made no effort to achieve air superiority. A burning SU57 in the media is going to not sell airframes.

It was designed to destroy Russian Tanks.
There are lots of them in Europe already, and the facilities to maintain and resupply them.
It uses standard NATO spec ammunition.
It runs on diesel.

Given the apparent T14 reliability it'd be more likely to see one towed by a tractor
