Once people start calling Russia "The Daily Mail of countries" you know debate is going to be risible with them I'm afraid, but it's good that some here like yourself can articulate a more balanced view of what's a complex and highly volatile situation. Thanks for your input.

Russia bad, must be defeated or they leave Ukraine.

Unless you enjoy the killing,raping and pillaging...then you see it as .

Russia good, trying to fight of evil nato and Nazis with thier super hamster robot warriors who are also all transgender and black ,yet still Nazis, oh and Jewish, can't forget that.

Part of me expects this is also why USA are sending Abrams. Although highly impractical for the current conflict - in the long term there is going to be big influx of investment in heavy weaponry defending NATOs western land borders now.

I expect tank production to be a huge boost to any country that can win those contracts in the coming decades. The USA wouldn't want to exclude themselves from that as a potential supplier.

For the Russian threat to NATO?
Or just to have a spare army to give away?
Or just to be wrong footed again as the next conflict will be different again to the last.

This conflict won't end any time soon. Even with Russia defeated in Ukraine and pushed back into their own borders.

Putin is in this for the long game. Any country on the Russian border is going to be stepping up their land defences to unprecedented levels.
