You people are insane

Its not a game, this ramping up is not going to end well. Maybe when you and all the idiot politicians see a mushroom cloud either in Ukraine or elsewhere you might have a different take.

If Putin’s such a ********* that he’d launch a nuke over a comedy prop red line, then I think you need to reassess who might be insane in this situation cupcake.

I love seeing all of the people who are saying "stop escalating" whilst also providing zero credible alternatives.

Not even got the backbone to come out and say they're pro-Russian and support Ukraine folding so their Russian friends get an even bigger country and more population/resources.

You'll have to try harder than this if you want to avoid your bosses next draft and a nasty end in the mud comrade. They're watching.

I don't necessarily think it's a binary choice between supporting weapon shipments and being a Pro Russian hack. I'm all for sending as much as possible, as quickly as possible but can empathize with people who are scared of escalation. Some people aren't as learned in world history and even if they where they'd probably feel much the same.

Insane is robbing, raping and murdering your neighbors like Russia and thinking they will get away with it.

They largely have done - which is part of the problem. Until they're beaten back so thoroughly that its obvious to even the most deluded that this won't be allowed ever again, they will keep doing it.

I'm encouraged at the moment actually: the increase in troll bot activity over the last week tells me that Russia is having a a squeaky bum moment. I've had them on ignore for a while, no point replying when they won't ever respond to their bull poop being pointed out.

But if not sending weapons what do they expect to happen?

I can say for certain that if we didn't Ukraine would have lost already.

Escalation will happen whether we like it or not, potentially even if we did nothing.

"Herp derp nuclear war is fun and if you don't like it you are Putin's bff lolololol"

Calling out the West for 'aggression and escalation' whilst simultaneously launching long range weapons designed to take out aircraft carriers at civilian areas of Kiev is absolute insanity.

Do you really expect us to just abandon the people of Ukraine for your leader to commit genocide?

The problem is that Crimea is very recent history and the "But he has nukes" crowd don't seem to have learned from it.

Putin invaded his neighbor took their land and said he was done. Now here we are and he clearly wasn't done.

This is useful information that gives us a clear picture of what we can expect if Putin is allowd to gain anything from this invasion.

We can let him gain something from this, or we can call.

It is binary in that sense.

Everyone is scared, or at least should be scared of escalation. However, what is the alternative?

Let them keep the land they've murdered, raped and butchered to gain? How long before he tries again? 6 years?
If you allow Putin to win now, it'll never stop and he'll wreak revenge on the Ukrainian people - literal genocide.

The only way to prevent WW3 is to stop it now, before it's too late.

Exactly. I'm pretty sure the Ukrainians don't plan on rolled over - regardless of our support.

And Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Finland certainly have no interest in giving up. So, we're either in this together - or Nato as a concept is finished.

Im guessing this war will lead to nuclear proliferation. The current example of nuclear bullying is clear enough.

I don't know. If anything, it's proven that having nuclear weapons is mostly irrelevant in actual conflict.

I'm expecting a huge increase in artillery and low cost military drones in the coming years.
