I don't see how it would possible. F-22 is an air superiority fighter, it's an extremely expensive bit of kit in and of itself, expensive to maintain of which it would need Americans to do directly, There are only 180 made and illegal to export for selling.
They're probably talking about potentially supplying F-35s at some point (and possibly not for free), the person who put the tweet out probably just Googled "US 5th gen fighter" and got an F-22 pic instead of an F-35 pic.

Of course it's the F35 that would be the one In discussion, but the way I see it is that even if the US ever sells the F35 to Ukraine, it's likely to only be after the US has already built a hundred 6th Gen NGAD fighters (so like 10 years from now)

They wouldn't want to send anything that might end up in the wrong hands so they would never send the F-22 or F-35.

I honestly think the best plane that would help Ukraine if they were operating in areas were the threat of SAM or MANPADS were lower would be the retired A10, because A it would scare the hell out of Russian troops in any area it was operating as that cannon it has is nuts. B it would bust up any Russian armor it targeted and C it's probably one of the most armoured and durable aircraft the US have made to date.

A-10 would be ideal for a war like this, but they already have the S-25 which fills the same role

Someone mentioned the A-10's are retired, I hadnt realised that, but yup they would be the perfect aircraft for Ukraine, A-10's and maybe Apache's.

It's going to take a while to train/convert Ukranian pilots to anything though, looks like this horrible war is going to drag on years, what a mess :(
Some expert (retired wing commander or something) on LBC the other day was saying A10's would be perfect but they are so slow they would need 2 fighters as escorts

Even an A-10 has the same problem with the proliferation of anti-air weapons in this war from MANPADS, SPAAGs through to S-400 complexes, etc. with lots of potent systems on both sides not fully integrated into a robust chain of command. That said Ukraine could still do with plenty of stuff like the Gepard. Eventually they will need aircraft but there is a lot of other stuff more pressing right now including ammo and mobile artillery systems.

Only unlike Hitler Putin possibly has the means to take the world out with him and he is less likely than Hitler to end it in a bunker taking his own life. We can end this here (probably) by giving Ukraine the tools it needs to bring the current Russian forces in Ukraine to exhaustion sooner rather than later and leaving of their own accord or delay and possibly risk it all.

Or we sell out Ukraine for temporary peace and kick the can down the road to our children to deal with (maybe).

Let's not be shy about it. Both Russia and China are vying for a bigger piece of the pie. No matter what they say, they are both making financial moves etc to get land/resources/power across the world. I'm sure that can is coming sooner or later. Russia decided to try force with Ukraine.

I added the maybe as there are so many variables to that, none of them good.

Of course they are, they have been doing this for 15 years.
