That would make sense, considering China's infamous inability to innovate.

As Dylan says "These times they are a-changin"

We'd be fools to dismissively underestimate China based on how they have been and not see how they are now. We can still recognise the limitations their political system has, but it might not matter.

Two articles from Havard Business Review succinctly show that change

2014 : https://hbr.org/2014/03/why-china-cant-innovate

2021 : https://hbr.org/2021/05/chinas-new-innovation-advantage

Both interesting reads if you have the time.

Turn (formally 007 or 0007 or something) is the best contributor to this thread. I find out more from this poster than I do anywhere else on the net. He just brings loads of sources together and summarises them really well. I think the vast majority of people that frequent this thread agree.

@montymint I've been doing this for 1 year now, you must be new to this thread... I have ~2.6K posts in this thread.
Not exactly an RSS feed either, I edit several times to avoid posting multiple times, add sources to my posts where I can + format my posts aswell to make links small/unembeded etc.

Tbh no I tend to keep out of this thread unless reports are raised, which happened in the case of a number of your posts overnight.

As the consensus is that the posts are welcome I'll keep my oar out.

Someone mentioned the A-10's are retired, I hadnt realised that, but yup they would be the perfect aircraft for Ukraine, A-10's and maybe Apache's.

It's going to take a while to train/convert Ukranian pilots to anything though, looks like this horrible war is going to drag on years, what a mess :(

The A10 is not retired ; the USAF have 281 of them, and are retiring the oldest 21, which means they`ll still have 260 of them
