IF zelenksy wants to keep fighting then he should go to the front line like he expects all the people he conscripted to.

Remember he wouldn't let the men leave the country and forced them into the army, the Ukraines on the front line likely don't want to be there any more than the Russians, just 2 armies trapped between 2 ego maniacs

Tell us, if you give Putin the eastern part of Ukraine will you get him to sign a piece of paper committing him to peace in our time?

Do you think the Ukrainian population or parliament would tolerate Zelensky caving in to Putin and giving away large swathes of Ukraine? They already got shot of a president when went back on his promises. How much of your country would you give up to a invader or how much would you support your government giving up?

Maybe we can ask him Russia to re-sign the peace documents that they signed before regarding never invading Ukraine... cos it worked so well last time. /S

So far Russia occupy around 20% of Ukraine that isn't a small area. I'm sure Ukraine are more than happy to negotiate Putin's surrender any time he wants.

EDIT: While Europe might not have been under any imminent threat from Russia - if Ukraine had simply rolled over and the West been weak, it would have certainly been the Baltics next and other parts Putin fancied. Don't forget he initially tried to head shot the Ukrainian government with an attempt to take over control of the whole country not just take bits in the east.

Been looking at twitter, and one apparent young person says they are now on the side of Russia, because of something Zelensky said, and they completely take it out of context. (I can't link as the post has swearing). I check their profile and it's all just anti-vaccine/chemtrails/conspiracy nonsense all the way through.

I really do think a lot of people with mental health issues have been cooped up during covid and just lost the plot.

edit: Who's know if it's even a real account. Active since March 2019.

For the defence of his nation, I would have thought that was obvious. Ukrainians have never forgotten what they suffered under Russia's USSR. What are they supposed to do, roll over and give Putin all the land he wants? Is that what we told France to do in WWII?

'Small piece'? Putin's forces occupy ~20% of Ukraine. That's not a small piece. Why are you proposing that Ukraine should just keep giving up land in exchange for peace? Has that ever worked through human history? Is that what they should have done when Germany invaded Poland, and Denmark, and Norway, and...?

How about if we get Putin to pinky swear that he won't liberate* any more of Ukraine? Surely that will be enough to secure peace and stop Zelenskyy and NATO from their war mongering ?

*obviously excepting any bits he still has to save from the Gay Trans Jewish Nazis.
