Russia claims it will station 12 divisions on the border of Finland

Personally I call BS on this, because since the war has been going on Russias existing defences have been dropping rapidly as it sends units to Ukraine - so there is currently very little to no defence along the Finish border at present (as shown by western satellites). And yet Russia now claims it's going to station over 100k soldiers on the border.. like yeah sure mate take another swiggle of the vodka
The weirdest thing is, they must really think we GAF about invading them, or something?

Definitely! Blogging is a serious crime worth blowing up cafes for.
Was on this occasion, anyone who calls for and wants mass murder and torture gets what they deserve.

You know who's cafe this was right? There were no innocents in there.

It’s essentially a terrorist attack, should be condemned.
Well, if they class it as a muder investigation then it is not a terrorist attack.

IIRC they managed to get HARMs working on the MiG-29 and Su-27 by tricking the aircraft into thinking they were launching Kh-31's (Soviet equivalent). Problem is the Soviet equivalent of the AMRAAM is the R-77 which wasn't completed until the 90's and so Ukraine's planes were never upgraded to use them which means tricking them in a similar way is out of the question, they could try and get the planes thinking they're launching R-27s but it would be quite a stretch :(

Just itching for the chance to even the score after the last war xD

Apparently the HARMs are quite limited in scope when used by a mig-29 as you've already detailed. The latest Perun video adds more detail to this - he says the missile has a number of operational modes, most of which cannot be used and once the missile is launched it has no communication with the plane and the pilot has no feedback on where it went and whether or not it hit anything

The Dutch announced today they are acquiring AgM-158 JASSM-ER missiles from the U.S. for their F35's. These stealth missiles have a >900km range. It's also one of the highest production missiles the US currently has with over 500 being built a year and congress approved the acquisition of another 3000 of them for the US stock pile.

Wish Ukraine had these, they could clear the entire operational area on ukraine and surrounding russian territory

There's a fascinating 10 min video released today worth checking out of two tanks and a bmp advancing on a Russian trench. We're very lucky Russia don't posses things like NLAW's as these tanks would be so vulnerable now.

Next bit is uploaded - one of the tanks has some close shaves, again brutal stuff so I'd recommend not watching lightly.

Yeah that ATM didn't miss by much. Surprised the drone didn't try and spot where they were being fired from. I really thought the tank was going to get stuck there for a minute.

US military and BAE systems hard at work with new hardware

BAE actually announced this, at white sands the US using a Paladin artillery gun was successfully able to fire BAE systems new guided artillery shell codename XM1155-SC.

Specifics on this new artillery shell are secret, but what has been revealed is that this new artillery shell has more than double the range of any existing artillery in the world and that it can hit fixed position or moving targets. That means the XM1155-SC has a range of at least 110km... this guided shell travels further than Ukraine's current HIMARS rockets

They don't mention how much these shells cost and that's going to likely the the largest hindrance to their adoptio.

Australia is stepping up!

'Canberra-made remote weapons system to be sent to Ukraine in $120m direct military sale.'

A Canberra-based defence company has inked a $120 million dollar deal to export its Remote Weapons System (RWS) to Ukraine and is hopeful of soon securing further arms sales to the war-torn country.

Electro Optic Systems (EOS) on Monday announced a conditional contract was recently signed in Ukraine's capital Kyiv, with the lethal equipment expected to be delivered as early as this year.

According to EOS, the RWS technology delivers "greater accuracy and reliability" than other competitor products and can be integrated onto various vehicles and platforms for a broad range of missions.

You love to see it.

Think it was probably artillery - video doesn't show it very well but there was shells landing every ~90 seconds - probably from about 5km away.

EDIT: Beats me why those Russians didn't try and surrender though - they must have known they were ****** for a bit.

Also not sure what was going on in the background - looked like Russian armour was trying to move in and was under shell fire from the Ukrainian side.
