Yeah it is Sweden that has the problem - it has a substantially larger and more politically active Kurdish diaspora than Finland does.

So in the last year Putin has single handedly managed to get Russia's military reputation ruined and deversated, 200k of his own people killed and wounded, wound up on wanted list for war crimes, sent Russia's economy and future dreams of prosperity down the toilet, caused over a million working Russian's to flee to other nations and turned a once neutral country that sat on right on it's boarder to a fully fledged NATO member. That's some 4D chess right there.

Sadly seems like Bakhmut going to fall within weeks now, but that been a might fight for Ukraine 10 months holding out.

Sounds like counter offensive could punch behind Russian forces in the south of Bakhmut going to be interesting.
Kind of get the feeling Ukraine is looking to to do a Stalingrad/Operation Uranus style counter attack when it comes to Bakhmut.

there are still significant long standing regular forces not deployed to Ukraine, especially where they are drafted from better off regions, and almost certainly won't ever be deployed to Ukraine due to Putin's paranoia - but Russia is still capable of waging a significant war.
Added to the fact that Putin just created another huge frontier to defend with Finland's accession to NATO. Russia has border vulnerabilities in so many places - no way they can cover all of it and keep flooding bodies into Ukraine.

That was 'leaked' by someone on twitter the other day.
It wasn't 'leaked', certain U.S. officials speak to Journalists days before they announce the package, it's happened many times now.
What you're talking about is mentioned here:

But +1 to your overall point on it likely taking awhile till they actually get this stuff.

i`ll wait for the daily battle reports of blown up Leopards and CR2`s, where aftr day 3, more have died than were sent....

I hear Russia has already reverse engineered the Challenger 2 and will produce a better tank right after the T-14 enters serial production.

Assume this is correct, was posted by a Finn about their relative military strength. Surprised by the numbers in some ways, but in others with their history with Russia not.
If true thats some bump to NATO strength

1. Wartime strength 280,000.
2. 200 Leopard 2’s, an incoming fleet of 64 F-35’s, modern navy vessels and the largest artillery in Europe.
3. Spends over 2% of GDP on defence.
4. Highest popular will to defend their country in Europe.
