Conditions, training and equipment/supplies - still a lot of tanks and artillery undelivered, training is still in progress.

The weather in some parts has come with a bit of late winter cold/snow mixed with days of warming up a bit and raining turning the ground to quagmire.

When computers first appeared the press loudly announced that they would do all the work while we put our feet up and sip cocktails all day. Oh, and don't forget that nuclear power was going to be so cheap they wouldn't even charge for it.

Are you asking when the Spring/Summer offensive will start Rob?

I think maybe it will start sometime later in, well, the Spring or Summer.

(Better ground conditions then and they've had to wait for supplies of IFVs and MBTs from the West.)

Probably not for Ukraine - but if the leaked documents are right over 60% of the armoured vehicles for the offensive haven't been delivered yet - although the "leak" might be an attempt to make things look less ready than they are.

Playing devils advocate here, regardless of good side vs bad side there is a difference between using a platform to spread disinformation, and using a platform to raise money to help kill people (even if those people are invading/raping hordes), at least in the eyes of shareholders.

It's similar to the issue SpaceX had when they gave the Ukrainian military Starlink for keeping communication open and organising operations/etc, then they started using it for missile guidance. Companies have to keep an eye on optics sadly.

So why aren't they banning all involved in Ukraine war from both sides ? How do they decide who is contributing to military actions and who is not ?
