People were saying the ground conditions were not good for a counter offensive, what we could be hearing about is just probing attacks before the counter offensive begins.

Obviously they are not going to tell us when it does start.

Seems that way. Yesterday the Ukrainian deputy minister for Defense said they would not officially announce a counter offensive is underway as there and 'certain actions are under way already'.

Shifting through through noise on social media it does seem Ukraine is already getting the ground prepared by probing Russian positions along south, demining and shortening the grey areas/no mans land on the front and the Russians are claiming Ukraine has moved a lot of it's artillery to that area.
 
Obviously a lot of information I don't know and there are practical realities but seems weird to me with the latest 54th Mech video why they didn't have a machinegun covering the approach and just use that rather than trying to land grenades and mortars on them.

The owners of those cars are in for a rude awakening when they call their insurers tomorrow morning. Most polices have exceptions for damage caused by acts of war and related activities.

Damn that's crazy.

For people who don't recognise the name that's their infamous "a guided missile destroyer but the size of a battleship", the only one of it's kind still in service. Known for being the largest ship of it's type ever built it and one of the prides of the Russian navy since the 90s.

Kinda crazy they're scrapping that and not their heavy aviation cruiser that spends most of it's time broken, their military budgets must really be suffering, excellent.
