Technically it shouldn’t trigger an article 5 situation if NATO did move into Ukraine to push Russia out but this is going right up to that line with no margin for error.

I asked about that a few months ago on this thread and the conclusion was the Challenger 1's that Jordan has are in a poor state and it we would be better off sending more Leopards instead. Ammo is also a bit problematic with the C1's.

The rank of General in Russian army can’t be the same as most other nations.

The rank is broadly the same but their doctrine means they end up far closer to the front line and far more involved at a lower level of operations than most countries.
A Lt. General in Russian hierarchy is on par with a Major General (OF-7) in the UK and US armies.
