Ukraine Invasion - Please do not post videos showing attacks/similar

I was going to post this earlier but thought it might just be another raid and not mount too much but I see people taking about it.

To create a bridgehead over the Dnipro and then supply over 1000 troops wont be easy, pontoon bridges don't move and I think even the Russians could target them and cut off any troops south of the Dnipro.

That said ATACMs would be a damn good distraction for it and we have been seeing aircraft getting shot down in the area, so who knows.

1000 troops would be a sizeable raid. If the Ukrainians can carve out a salient and have a few dozen stinger systems, that could provide enough air cover to push up a SAM battery on the opposite river bank. At that point engineers could build a bridge and start moving heavy equipment and troops.

Which is actually a video from the start of the war of Russian Grads going off, many many explosions. Someone has been recycling old footage today and passing it off as Atacms.

Was gonna say I couldn't find such footage on the places I usually check which are usually fairly good for weeding out fake/old stuff.

Yeh I understand this but don't remember seeing such a large percentage (being reported at least).

Hopefully not a sign of things to come etc.

Ukraine have been pretty quick to adapt to changes. Next few days would be interesting as Russia sent 15 missiles/drones according to that tweet. If they think they've found a gap then the logical thing to do would be to send a much bigger salvo next time - assuming they have the missiles/drones to send at all. They were sending many more earlier this year (80-90 a night iirc).

Russia are making some minor gains in the area around Avdiivka.
It does concern me that they see a Bhakmut type bloodbath as again acceptable losses to secure a win.

I have no doubt Russia will throw as many people into the meat grinder as it takes. And the Ukrainians will have to do the same. And the end result is going to a few million dead with rich American military contractors and an empowered China.

Miserable times.

Oryx has updated their Russian loss list.

The ATACMS attack on the Berdyansk airfield has confirmed destruction of five KA-52 and four MI-8 helicopters

That's around $120 million of aircraft lost. Ukraine launched 3 ATACMS missiles at the airfield with the M39 block 1 variant at a cost of $5 million in total. So a $120 million return on $5 million cost. What a deal

As cold as it sounds it would be better to hear the pilot lost his life. Russia can likely replace the lost aircraft fairly easily but the replacing a pilot means years of training.

Russia can replace the SU25 but, only with a limited number of much more expensive air craft like the SU34 that would require pilots to be retrained.
