Its your opinion but i have mine m8 no hard fellings.

You realise it was your own evidence, that you gathered and presented right?
Your own evidence that you put forward to support your opinion undermines the very basis of it.
What would it take for you to at least accept that you just don't know if it is true? Maybe have a healthy sceptical stance on that particular topic and abstain from having an unfounded opinion that you treat as fact.

Still its long way to go.

They are (at least the Government are) desperate to join the EU post war. EU have already told them what changes need to be made and Zelenskyy is making all the right noises and some actions to get the process going. Of course it's a massive change for a country like Ukraine, especially what it was like under Yanukovych, but plenty of Ukranians I know are desperate for this kind of change.. aside from kicking out Russia of course.

I find it a little ironic that a Polish national is berating Ukraine for having issues with corruption considering the position they were in just prior to joining the EU too
I understand your point but if you could see from inside of Poland what is happening now them you may understand other point of view.

What are they doing? You've not actually said.

@Gregvivi0401 what is this other point of view you mention, you've not really said either.

I'm sure many of us can imagine the range of issues - its not exactly a unique historical event (peoples displaced across borders due to war) but you've not said much of anything.
All any of us have to go on is that best case you are upset enough to hold a factually incorrect opinion about an event, and after posting your own evidence that actually refutes it, then seemingly refuse to amend your opinion on it. Which is not great, but somewhat understandable. Or worse case acting in bad faith.

We're not exactly ones to talk considering the dodgy stuff going on in our government :o

From what I've seen Ukraine are generally heading in the right direction and making changes, but it will be something that will always take time and never be completely eliminated.

What's that old saying? "people in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks"... The west are hardly innocent when it comes to corruption, it's prevalent. Granted, majority of the time its not quite as obvious/in your face, but it exists and is far far more common than we should be comfortable with.

I know I shouldn't laugh, but...

"The deputy commander of the 14th Army Corps, Zavadsky was not killed in combat but is thought to have been killed by a landmine placed by a fellow Russian unit to target Ukrainian reconnaissance groups"

Given the how Russian Generals are treating the troops as disposable meat, the mine placement or lack of notification may not have been entirely accidental ....
