See this is what I don't understand. When BO got in everyone was made up - going to be the greatest president etc. Then realised he can't actually do much - couldn't even get AR ban after a number of instances. When Trump gets in everyone is saying he's going to destroy x, y z, but did much change under him? A lot of his rubbish was blocked same as BO. The USA is just in perm paralysis IMO...
There's a reason for that though, the US spends ~40% of the global military budget of $2.2 Trillion on it's own! More than 3 times the next biggest spender, which is China.
Western and Central Europe combined spent around $345 Billion combined in 2022 and that's after large increases from the Countries directly next to the UKR RUS conflict and military aid given to UKR by the rest!

Effective to 1-2km but problem is there is an increasing number of drones which can sit at 2-3km with optics to match to correct fire and monitor movements, etc. and even at 1km they are hard to detect by a person - making the use of something like this somewhat tricky.
Dunno why more effort isn't made into miniaturised versions of C-RAM systems able to deal with drones and to a limited extent missiles at like army company level, etc.
Can't be far away to be honest with latest deep fake tech, would be like, and I can't remember which film it was, but either V for Vendetta or Equilibrium where the Glorious Leader had long since died and been replaced with CGI.
IIRC there is a scene of smashing up the computers or something in Equilibrium but I can't remember specifics of those movies now.
I think it was V for Vendetta, but it's a bit hazy.

Because Ukraine is actually firing more artillery than the Russians and have been for a few months now.
But number of shells fired does not translate into territory gained, as we saw in late 2022 when Russia fired 10x more shells than Ukrainians

You still need enough to get the job done. Without air support they need significant artillery numbers so as to suppress enemy defences so as to work on them, currently Ukraine only has sufficient artillery supplies to stall.
This was largely achieved by handing Orban a giant sack of cash and sending him out of the room, but I'll take it.

We can't even arm our own navy etc properly, ditto the rest of Europe.
It's no surprise, we just think Uncle Sam will come to the rescue as always.
Good news on the EU talks front, pitty orban can't lean out of a window, he's to fat, well played.
