Just a reminder as this has happened a few times before - the Ukrainians who posted this are either knowingly or (more likely) unknowingly breaking Article 13 of the Third Geneva Convention of 1949 regarding the treatment of POW's -

There's a good discussion in this from the International Committee of the Red Cross over this very subject - https://blogs.icrc.org/law-and-policy/2022/06/28/shielding-prisoners-of-war-from-public-curiosity/ - where they say

and of course if anyone should post SM images of Russia doing the same or worse I'd say exactly the same thing about that too, before the "But Russia does worse..........." types jump in as they always do.

You know what I'll give them a pass considering Russia's excuse for the invasion and the fact they are using actual Nazis to murder men, women and children.

Could be true or not, however I find it hilarious that the responses after it was posted were all hurr but I thought the Ukrainians were the Nazis (which there is a never ending supply of proof pre conflict, including from Ukraine itself). Apparantly its just fine to be a Nazi if they are on the side you support, at least they are all dying on the front so the world is a better place the longer this conflict goes on.

Oh I'll bet you didn't know it says "Rus" on the tatoo too? My brain was engaged, ill bet you're still waiting on the counter offensive and Ukraines imminent victory though?
It obviously wasn't, you got giddy when you saw yellow. AGAIN, the only real Nazis are ALL Russian

They weren't "banned" because they were Nazis, they were banned because they were becoming too popular in Russia and were better used as agents of the state instead of opposition to them.

RNU fingerprints are all over the LPR and DPR, they and their offshoots more than likely radicalised the Azov brigade before they turned on Russia.

I dont think anyone is denying that there were some elements of Nazi worship in the Azov. I mean they were an ultra nationalist far right group who shock horror took the far right ultra nationalist parts of the Nazi party mantra and copied it.
The far right nationalists have similar tendencies across the globe, including in the UK, they cannot help themselves.

Not saying the far left are any better, but the far left ultra nationalists have other heros to worship.

Maybe instead of crying about Trump you look the below, even our spending is pathetic and we're above the target. This is 2023 spending after the Russian invasion.

It’s clear at this stage Russia and China are waiting for US elections to decide their next move. In the long term this is going to be to the detriment of the US. In the worst case scenario we may see a very significant war break out with potential to be a world war in both Europe and Asia. I’m sure Trump is eyeing this as a business opportunity to sell arms. Any nation that is not a nuclear power is going to be a potential target.

Are you saying we should position ourselves to re take the reins of world power?

2.1% of British GDP is pathetic, dear comrade oligarch. Emperor Putin looses more than when chasing after children to kidnap.

This is where it goes wrong for the US. Another world power will step in. I don’t think the UK has world domination ambitions but there could be many countries that might see an opportunity fill the gap.

What has that got to do with Trump wanting to leave the NATO alliance? Bolton spells it out, Trump wants out of NATO, not because of other countries spending but because he doesn't believe in win win scenarios, if you are also winning he thinks he could have won more if you lost. He wants out as he sees nothing in it for him by being in it. He doesn't give a damn if Russia takes all of Europe, well maybe Scotland and Ireland as he has golf courses there.

No one can compete with US defence spending, their economy is partly built around war or the weapons of. They also have the $ which gives them a massive advantage over very other country.

The Kremlin says arrest warrants will be issued for other politicians in former Soviet countries for removing Soviet statues
Regardless of what anyone's opinion on destroying war memorials is, the idea that Russia is issuing arrest warrants for leaders of countries doing it is comical :p

I will however add the caveat though that it's comical unless the memorial in question had legal protection. I.E there's a Soviet war memorial in the east of Germany which is legally protected under the very acts of reunification, Germany are required to maintain it until the end of time. If some of the ones in Estonia had similar legal protection then I can understand a slight possible maybe argument for Russia trying to issue international arrest warrants for those responsible for their destruction.

I was expecting more footage but all you seem to see mostly is Himar strikes, artillery and drones.
Historically speaking the C1 and C2 weren't really known for driving round exchanging shells with T-55/72s, but for putting shells through them from 2+ miles away.

As Deadpool says it's cool but it's not very cinematic.

Comrade, why spend all that money building a warehouse when you can slip the money into your pocket and stack ammunition in a field?
I think this kind of puts it in perspective.

The most advanced Spaceship ever created by the human race (so far) is the Buran Star Shuttle. Essentially an improved version of the USA's Space Shuttle concept (the USSR literally wanted one just because the USA had one and they feared it's potential military usage) it last flew in 1988 (also it's only orbital flight) before the collapsing Soviet economy rendered the finished product too expensive to actually use (this was the same reason they had to delay the launch of the ISS then eventually ask the USA/EU to chip in on funding).

It was destroyed in 2002 after sitting in it's hangar for 22 years, when the roof collapsed due to corrosion and the fact nobody had looked at it since 1991.

This marked the end of a $16bn program, and I believe puts into perspective how important looking after something as unimportant Soviet era ammunition was/is to Russia.

Indeed. Maybe it is time for change, I just don’t think Trump and the Trump-ets fully understand what that actually means for the United States.
