Isn't that just the case for both sides though? As I understand Russia's artillery situation is better than Ukraines at the minute? I'm sure those munitions work perfectly fine in most cases, a 155mm shell isn't very demanding to construct.

The North Korean munitions seem of pretty poor quality. The Russian munitions seem to have been stored very poorly.

Comrade, why spend all that money building a warehouse when you can slip the money into your pocket and stack ammunition in a field?

Fairly recent but there doesn't seem to be much footage of the CR2s being used at all and most of the reports seem to be of having to utilise them one way or another to make up for lack of artillery.

Have the tanks had much impact? I dont know maybe I was expecting more, im sure they helped though.

I was expecting more footage but all you seem to see mostly is Himar strikes, artillery and drones.

82nd seemed to be setup for an opportunity which never came, which itself is possibly a good thing as the composition in my opinion was a bit odd. The grouping had many of the hallmarks of a shock troop used to exploit gaps in an enemy defence but didn't have matching level of mobility in support elements - for example accompanying them with the M119 is just odd IMO and possibly a sign of someone unable to translate NATO doctrine (being light guns which can easily be air-dropped) into what works in Ukraine (high mobility shoot and scoot without air elements available).

EDIT: Shame we don't have some FV433s hanging about they'd have possibly been a good option in that setup with some modernisation.

Yes because this couldn't be not real.....
I'm sure it probably is real/ could be, but 1 twitter post doesn't mean it is
you guys are worryingly easy to jump on things.
I hope it is real its the most ludicrous thing to insult Russia with... I guess the established press will have afield day with it.

Russia issues arrest warrant for Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas. Why? Because Estonia removed Soviet statues and monuments inside Estonia

The Kremlin says arrest warrants will be issued for other politicians in former Soviet countries for removing Soviet statues

Cant make this **** up

It's pretty clear by now, not that it needed to be any clearer, that Russia plans to be in this on a much bigger scale. The provocation from Putin is at the point where soon, something is going to happen to a NATO country and we, as a collective have an unthinkable decision to make. The dragging of the heels by the U.S
to make this pledge to help Ukraine happen is just playing into Putin's hands, along with other NATO countries to scale up. Couple that with Trump's NATO comments is just emboldening Russia. How long is it until Russia has troops at the border with Estonia, Lativia and Lithuania?

I'd say awhile unless Putin goes all in - while Russian forces not committed to Ukraine are larger and better equipped than you'd get the impression of from this thread and the media, etc. they are only sufficient to defend Russia and more critically a large amount of their reserves (equipment and manpower with some military experience) have been depleted towards Ukraine. I do believe the direction of travel goes this way though eventually, Russia hasn't spent the last few years doing the groundwork for wider action (social and political undermining, subversion or infiltration, sabotage or settings up the staging for sabotage, "secret" bases, etc. etc. throughout Europe) without a certain amount of intent.

Just a reminder as this has happened a few times before - the Ukrainians who posted this are either knowingly or (more likely) unknowingly breaking Article 13 of the Third Geneva Convention of 1949 regarding the treatment of POW's -

prisoners of war must at all times be protected, particularly against acts of violence or intimidation and against insults and public curiosity.

There's a good discussion in this from the International Committee of the Red Cross over this very subject - https://blogs.icrc.org/law-and-policy/2022/06/28/shielding-prisoners-of-war-from-public-curiosity/ - where they say

the term ‘exposure to public curiosity’ also covers the simple disclosure of images of POWs, recordings of interrogations or private conversations, personal correspondence, and any other private data.

The ICRC calls on social media companies to take measures to prevent unlawfully disclosed images and information from circulating on their platforms.

and of course if anyone should post SM images of Russia doing the same or worse I'd say exactly the same thing about that too, before the "But Russia does worse..........." types jump in as they always do.

Russia is increasing the age limit for soldiers to 65 and officers to 70

As the life expectancy in Russia is 64 before the war, men finding themselves still employed as part of these changes are likely to die from old age while on duty even if they don't die in a ditch in Ukraine

Russia is making these changes to stop men from leaving the military, which would result in the Kremlin having to issue a new mass mobilization order, so instead the military can now force men to stay in the military until 65/70 depending on position, which as mentioned means many of them may die from old age before they can retire

You really thought you did a thing didn't you? So quick to try and hate on Ukraine without engaging your brain and eyes.
Could be true or not, however I find it hilarious that the responses after it was posted were all hurr but I thought the Ukrainians were the Nazis (which there is a never ending supply of proof pre conflict, including from Ukraine itself). Apparantly its just fine to be a Nazi if they are on the side you support, at least they are all dying on the front so the world is a better place the longer this conflict goes on.

Oh I'll bet you didn't know it says "Rus" on the tatoo too? My brain was engaged, ill bet you're still waiting on the counter offensive and Ukraines imminent victory though?

Is he available to the public though?

Putin's interview wasn't very popular on Russian TV. The interview was played live on channel one and has been replayed once since then. The live viewing attracted an audience of 3.2% - meaning 3.2% of all TV viewers during the time slot the interview was playing were watching the interview, that was enough to make Putin's interview the 12th most popular TV show that evening
