Inevitable nobody is going to kick off world war 3 to save the Ukraine this is an object lesson in why no country will ever give up nuclear weapons. If Ukraine was still a nuclear power Russia would not be so keen to flex her muscles.

Given the absolute pathetic and week response from the west so far why bother with something so elaborate? At this point Putin can just send in his army and tell them to take whatever piece of land he wants because we've shown we are not prepared to stand up to him.
 
Fairly hefty initial sanctions - the US was never going to go to war over Ukraine. That's a world I don't want to live in so get off your soap boxes.
They'll be feeding Ukraine with weapons and if Russia pushes further then more sanctions incoming.

Targeted sanctions of oligarchs also incoming, those might shift things in Moscow

No it wont man. All the energy in the world, loads of gold reserves and one the smallest debt to gdp percentages in the world. They'll be fine
