Tin foil hat time, anyone thinking about taking a few hundred quid out, in cash, to have just in case the russians target the financial systems?
I'd maybe skip that part and just invest in bottle caps

If you want to spend cash in the supermarket, still has to be through a computerised till or the input maw of the self service checkout. If they go to that kind of lengths in this day and age the disruption will likely affect a lot of the backend systems as well rendering cash relatively less useful than it used to be :s best bet really is trying to avoid being in a position where you need to spend money for a few days if it comes to it.
How much gas do we get from Russia, I think I read its something like 10-15% ?

More like 5% I believe. Europe is where they will have headaches with Germany up to 40%
Could we not make Russian cyber attacks less of a problem by cutting them off western communication networks. I know we can't disconnect them completely but wouldn't it significantly reduce their bandwidth.
Edit: Seems Russia has prepared for this along with everything else the West is threatening.

Are we saying nato haven’t broken any agreements ?
Cyberattack is a vague term, what sort of things could they do that would affect us all negatively?

Worth a read to get both sides. This is a different one to what was posted before and goes into history a bit more and their issues with nato/us
Thanks for the link. I believe it is useful to get both sides. Even if you don't agree with their perspective on things.
I have a Ukrainian friend who kind of sees himself as more Russian (even though he lives in the west of Ukraine) we have often discussed issues from different perspectives. He, with his "Russian propaganda" and me with my "Western propaganda"
It's very useful to hear how other people see a situation from litterally the polar opposite of your own beliefs.
