A coup by a PMC of one of the biggest nuclear stockpiles in the world is worrying thought.

Yes, though if it is just him then it's not likely to be successful and if it's not just him then there may well be another possible leader in waiting. I mean he has positioned himself as a contender of course but there will be others who are interested in ditching Putin too... (if that is the intent), he's still avoided directly criticising Putin and has directed his anger at Shoigu...

There are so many scenarios here... like how farcical would it be if Shoigu now gets sacked and Putin makes some promises to Prigozhin etc.. to clam everything down and they just ignore the fact there has been a bit of shooting/killing between Wagner and the Russian Army and Russian internal troops.

China is going to go nuts about this... they seemingly gave the nod to this whole 3 day SMO thing in the belief it would be over quickly not wanting it to drag on like this and certainly not wanting potential internal conflict within Russia.

What if, that's where Putin is currently located.

No need to take the Kremlin if they know he's currently in a bunker elsewhere.

Seems unlikely and if he was he'd have already been evacuated by now. He's got a palace further south by the Black Sea but his bunker is in the Ural Mountains way out to the East.

The reason for heading to that location, AFAIK, is it is where the main HQ for the "special military operation" is.

What would make me really happy is if right now Putin was experiencing genuine fear.

May be unlikely, but id love it if he’s finally going through the fear that he’s despicably inflicted on the whole of Ukraine.
He's total paranoid that lives in perpetual fear tho, isn't he? Bit like Stalin.

While they may send a column of vehicles to a city just over the border they don't necessarily need to send a column directly to Moscow... some of them are already there even. Though the way this is described makes it seems a bit ad hoc and potentially a bit desperate:

If they'd actually coordinated that sort of thing it would be hilarious... Moscow has a ring of steel around it, they're prepared for possible coup attempts and have planned for having to defend against factions of the Russian military previously (I mean we saw a bit of infighting there in the 90s too, they fired tank rounds into the Parliament building even). This was from 1993:

But supposing some criminal in charge of a mercenary army had already sent into Russian cities 30,000 battle-hardened and loyal former convicts he'd freed from prisons around the country and a bunch of them were already located in Moscow waiting for his command.... well it would make for a nice Hollywood movie plot at least.

No need to send a column if they're already there and it's rather different to say the General of X military district making a super obvious and easily observable move with his troops in the sort of internal conflict-type scenarios they might have planned for. Wagner are civilians after all and beyond say the border cities they don't necessarily need a super obvious column. (But then again, *if* they have significant enough internal support perhaps they can take the easier route of driving a bunch of vehicles up a highway).

The Russian army/air force refusing to follow orders. Massive if true.

Honestly, I think that would be the default positon for possibly rather a lot of people, at least for as long as the situation remains unclear... if you think there is a chance he has more support and potentially there could be a new regime then bombing his guys would be a bad move whereas not bombing them... well you don't want to bomb fellow Russians on your side, the order is illegal etc.. better to stay out of it.

Similar problem perhaps with the tweet about the internal troops... they apparently fled (if that encounter is to be believed) and I guess why not, better to stay out of it.

If all the military take that attitude, Wagner have got a free run straight to the Kremlin

The lack of visual evidence of Wagner troops and vehicles inside Russia is giving pause for thought. They claim to be inside Russia yet no one has any footage, strange

And Google maps shows no traffic jam in Rostov which an armoured column would create, apart from the road blocks setup on the M4 highway leading to Moscow

No visual evidence of this happening yet it all rather odd
There are videos of army columns in and around moscow though (not vagner most likely against them). Well allegedly from video creators anyway :)
They mostly seem to not show identifiable (to me) street names when showing these vehicles.
