are you going to address the issue that your advertising cards your not sending to people? as in the card that landed on my doorstep was a 5870 but not the model you have shown in your pics....a friend of mine has also said the same.

how many have tried one of these ? , what they like ?

its just a 5870 dude! what more do you need to know? is it because it doesnt have a shiney sticker on it? lol

Whilst my one looked a bit different to the photo that Gibbo sent in, I'm not too bothered - it's still a 5870 and the power cables are on the side as opposed to the back.

It's got a good sized fan on it too.

yeh im not bothered, but its not exactly appropriate to be advertising a card that is in fact different to what some people are getting.
one of the features of the central fan design is that it runs cooler - a good thing for all...so when a statistically inferior card turns up on your doorstep with a reference design i think theres a good reason to be puzzled.

have you got one ordered from this batch? making claims without actually seeing it for yourself is all well and good but entirely unhelpful.

even the PCB is different! and then we have the issue of fan placement, and copper fins.

Looks like you got the reference ati design, louder fan

From what ive read though the pcs card actually eats up more power due to the different pcb layout (according to hardocp at least) The card im expecting in the post is this which is the same card as gibbos post in a different colour\sticker.

Can't really expect them to open and check every single card, vtx should have a model number for that specific heatsink like Powercolor do.

It appears, the batch was mixed, anyone who is unhappy send the card back under DSR for a full refund.

Because of this I can no longer guarantee any particular type of cooler as its impossible for us to check all the stock and as this is end of life stock the manufacturer can't do anything either, this was the last lot.

Its just a shame some of them have the reference ATI cooler which some will see as a bonus and others will not.

It's all down to vtx/Powercolor really. For the Powercolor card with that cooler it's branded "pcs" on the box (performance cooling system). Can't understand why vtx cards with that cooler don't have a pcs sticker on the box, especially seeing as they're the same company.

The ATI reference cooler blows all the hot air out of the case, this may be a positive to some customers.
