Ultima Mobile - 15.4" WSXGA Laptop

It looks like VAT is going to drop next Monday.

When does the THIS WEEK ONLY offer run out on this laptop?

It looks like the current 30 quid saving will outweigh the VAT saving next week.
 
The midweek offer runs out on Wednesday.

I think it extends up until midday but I do not know that for sure so get it checked out by OcUK if you're relying on an accurate time.

My order will be placed tomorrow :)
 
Well....

Ordered the laptop at about 08:45 and collected it fully built the same day at 17:30. Not bad service at all, thanks for turning things around so quick guys!

Not opened the box yet as I've just got home and gonna have something to eat. Just wanted to say thanks.

Glad to hear it went smoothly. And I must say, fantastic service from OcUK.
Since ordering the laptop a few weeks back, I have recommended OcUK to many people solely on their customer service (as well as their prices :p)
 
Just a few more questions, was wonder how much more you would charge to put a 9800GT in it? Also what is your policy for dead pixes, if I get one right in the middles of the screen? How many are you allowed on this particular screen? Also how long do I have left to take advantage of the offer?

Indeed you are correct.

As for the dead pixel issue; I'm unsure about this aswell. I know OcUK don't offer a dead pixel warranty, however the manufacturers may be able to do something about it, if the dead pixel count is high enough.
 
I've got Red Alert 3 and Office 2007 installed on my desktop rig with Vista 64. No noted problems. Would imagine it's identical when installed on the laptop.

Cannot comment on the other game.
 
I curse my bad timing; I placed an order for this laptop at 1:51 pm on monday not realising the VAT change was going to go through straight away and wanted to take advantage of the offer.
Price must have dropped within an hour or two of my purchase XD

Oh well never mind, hopefully I'll have it by the weekend so I can try out fallout and redalert 3.
 
well my experience with OcUK didn't get of to a very good start, i placed my order on monday for an ultima mobile, and it arrived the next day, but without a dvd rw, so i spoke to OcUK and they kindly sent one out next day delivery, but i received IDE one instead of SATA, so they need to send another one out :(.... Oh well it has to happen to someone, and its normally me..

thanks very much, i look forward to the goodies,:D but i have to say that your team did deal with the problem very quickly and there was no trouble with getting replacements, thats what customer service is about and is rare these days. Keep up the good work

Are you able to look into the issue I have too please? I've raised an RMA yesterday but don't know if it has been looked into yet (do not have access to personal emails at the mo).

Will be coming to the store tomorrow anyway.

Well I thought you would have preferred details to just remain in the RMA rather than the forum but I've a problem with the incorrect RAM (only 2Gb DDR2) and HDD (only 5400rpm) being supplied :(

Will check my peronal emails later to see if I've got a reply from the office but I'm on site at Stoke tomorrow anyway so I can pop into the office :)
