If you are talking about the 9800M GTS (9800M GT has been discontinued :(), which is the highest performance card this laptop can have, then a few games would run OK at 1920x1200.
From the top of my head, these games run as smooth as silk:

  • Assassin's Creed
  • Dawn of War
  • Dreamfall - The Longest Journey
  • Garry's Mod
  • Mass Effect
  • NFS Series (not including Undercover, as it was TERRIBLY unoptimized)
  • Racer Driver - GRID
  • The Orange Box
  • Unreal Tournament 3

Those games run really well at 1680x1050, and I believe would perform just as well (bar a few FPS) at 1920x1200

Im only in the UK till the 28th then i gotta fly back to saudi and id hate to order and not actually pick the unit up b4 i had to leave

Went for the Ultima Extreme Mobile - 17.0" WSXGA Laptop,

Think the 1680x1050 screen rez might give me a bit more longevity with the graphics card, well i hope anyways +1920x1200 on a 17" screen is a bit on the small side regardless of what anyone thinks !!!

Slackworth if you see this any chance on doing a quick pixel check on my screen please before shipping?

Heh, if pixel checks are going, I'd like my two checked out before shipping too!

Also, does anyone know where to get a second power adaptor for this laptop, I've emailed OcUK, they said they don't stock them.
 
Yeah, I did mean a spare...

Mine's been held up by security check... I don't have bank statements around since I went paperless and now I gotta wait like a week for them to mail me the requested statements :(
 
If I were to order tonight what's the chances of getting one of these delivered before the 25th?

Are dead pixel common on these as there seems tobe a lot of people reporting them?

Any more info on the 2 year warrenty? Is it return to base, free pick up etc

Ordered the 15.4" Ultima today. I was told it was a maybe for Sat but Monday at the lastest (I paid for Saturday Delivery)

If its been three days for you I'm starting to feel a bit worried. My status is printed in warehouse is that the same as yours?

Question for the people who already have one

1. Does it come with a proper OEM disk so I can reinstall (64bit Vista)
2. Does it have those crappy stickers (Intel etc) on it or is it clean like the pictures (I have OCD ;))
3. Do you get 64bit drivers on the CD?
4. Is the warrenty a colect and return service or would I have to send it back at cost?
