Nope mine says,

Order Status: In our warehouse queue
And that hasn't changed for the last few days

As far as i know we get the Install Disk and i think all the drivers are downloaded via the net, should only need the latest nVidia driver i hope

No idea about stickers and warranty though

Where is Slackworth when ya need him

If its been three days for you I'm starting to feel a bit worried. My status is printed in warehouse is that the same as yours?

Question for the people who already have one

1. Does it come with a proper OEM disk so I can reinstall (64bit Vista)
2. Does it have those crappy stickers (Intel etc) on it or is it clean like the pictures (I have OCD )
3. Do you get 64bit drivers on the CD?
4. Is the warrenty a colect and return service or would I have to send it back at cost?

1. Can't answer this as I had a copy of Vista Business X64 here already.
2. Mine only came with 1 sticker - the SRS WOW sticker. I soon removed it, to give the laptop a symmetrical finish, very sleek looking. I removed it, which left a little bit of gunk, but that came off with a damp (not wet) cloth, and a bit of elbow grease.
3. Yes, the 64-bit drivers are on the drivers disk.#
4. Not sure, but I think you can send it in via carrier, or drop it in in-person. (need OcUK to confirm this).

Cool thx for that how long did yours take from order to door?

I went for the same spec as yours but the T8600 CPU instead.

Hmmm that doesn't sound right but it might even be on its way and the system hasn't updated yet?

Let me know how it goes might be worth a call to sales tomorrow?

Yeh i might ring them tomorrow just to check, your probably right though and the system just hasnt updated. Allthough it seems a bit odd that the lappy i ordered is no longer listed??

Hope they didnt run out of screens before it was too late

Still ive been shopping with OcUK for years and ive yet to have a single glitch so i recon its gunna be ok

Shipped afternoon 13 Nov,
Received morning 14 Nov.

I imagine the time taken may be slightly longer this now being a very busy period for the store.

Got one of the 17" Ultima Extreme laptops the other day with the 9800GTX. Gotta say thanks to the overclockers team for setting it up and shipping it out in a few days.

Just seen on the nVidia website today that they have released some notebook drivers which support the 9800M GTX (http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_winvista64_179.28_beta.html) but it comes up with an error saying the hardware isn't supported/detected when i try to install it. Any ideas?

Installed fine for me 9800M GTS, this driver package has display and nvidia audio drivers, did you deselect the audio drivers from the install options, this may be the source of your error.

I got a call from OcUK today, no 17" WSXGA screens in stock and wont be for a while, ive opted for the WUXGA instead.

I did wonder why they pulled the spec i ordered off the site :/

Be interesting to see how this thing handles crysis at that rez, just hope the screen scales well if i need to drop the rez to keep the FPS in the green zone.

The LCD on my desktop pc is a 24" @ 1920 x 1200..... Its gunna be mental seeing all those dots squeezed into 17" :O

Laptop turned up this morning at 9:30 well packaged and with no dead pixels. I just need to get some games installed now and test it out

Overclockers once again doesn't fail to impress....ordered Thursday delivered Sat good job

Didn't even get that far. The Windows installer window comes up with the nvidia background, then i get the error. Strange. It says on the website the 9800M GTX is supported. Isn't working for me. I've even formatted and tried again but still have the same problem

Just need someone elsewith a 9800M GTX to confirm it's not working for them also. I'll feel better then

They installed for me (GTS) but crashed LOTR online everytime it loads the character selection screen. Rolled back to orginal drivers and it fine? Might try some custom drivers today to see what happens.

Its great runs LOTR Online on very high with 60+ FPS in most places and Ultra high around 35 - 42 FPS which is not bad.

I've got one red stuck pixel middle top right which appeared just after I posted

If I gentley wipe the screen area affected with a soft cloth it fixes it for a varying amount of time 30 mins to a couple of hours. Hopefully it gets the idea and stays away

The build quality is great and the metal finish really makes it feel a little special compare to other laptops I've owned.

The only thing I can't find is the bluetooth module? Theres no software or device in device maager? Any ideas anyone?

If you press Fn + F12, it should change the WiFI light (third light from the left) to orange. This will trigger the Operating System to install drivers, which finishes in seconds, and it's all ready to go

Gaming laptops this year

Hey guys,

I've been looking around the net for along time for a gaming laptop. These ones on this website seem like the best!

Now i've just been wondering if that Overclockers are expecting any new Graphic Cards, More RAM, or faster Processors next year for their laptops, as i dont want to buy one now if i can wait 5 Months or so and get one double the power for the same price!

I'm just wondering if its really worth waiting afew months because i can if needed and see what else they are bringing out.
