I just find it frustrating when our best players suddenly decide they want to leave us. And even more so when it's the captain.

He doesn't have many chances left to go for the Champions League, so I understand he wants to go for a team in the Champions League. Also, he's captain because Emery was desperately flailing about, he isn't actually captain material.

Tbf it’s going to keep happening if we don’t begin to compete for the title and CL places/trophies.

I don’t blame him if he wants to leave but I think he should give Arteta the end of the season then make up his mind if he wants to go. But if we get a nice bid for him come January then we would be silly not to take it.

The thing is without Auba we are pretty much as good as Everton in terms of squad strength, I think if he went Jan without a replacement the squad would down tools. Laca can't lead a line on his own.

Should get a decent bit of bunce for Auba and Xhaka though. So as long as the board let him spend it we could get someone decent in.
