It was returned today. Again, excellent three-day turnaround. We'll see what happens now....

This time it is plugged in to a surge protector rather than straight in to a wall socket.

Mines just gone **** up as well. 3 quadrants on startup after it being blank for a while. Blank screen now and if it starts it crashes on the dashboard. What do I do?

Just over a week ago - quake 4 killed it lol. Its been crashing more and more frequently since I bought it and now it wont even start back up -.-

Yeh, do it. Not worth holding on to it if it's gonna do that. A hassle but DHL & MS are pretty quick at getting an xbox back to you...for me at least; 3 day turnaround.

Don't forget to try the advice everyone's been giving...

If you've got it from a store, contact them first to see if they have any in stock (first question - important), then to say you want to swap it. Saves waiting.

Yeah, exchange in store may be less hassle. I bought my premium 360 from game.net but when it packed up I arranged for one to be put aside for me at my local store, when stock came in.

Ive got a box coming sat/monday morning. Mines not even showing 3 red lights now. Completely blank on startup and doesnt change LOL. Console is dead, pretty impressed with the support though, normally its crappy
