Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy on PC - mid-2022

Started playing Uncharted and every now and then it freezes, does not seem to anything particularly going on at the time and all I can do is hit the restart button.
Any thoughts?

Shame there's no PC version of the first 3 games though...

I've been thinking this as well and it feels odd that no one has really brought it up.

I mean every Uncharted game is worth playing and knowledge of the first 3 isn't vital but it strikes me as odd to finally bring it to the PC and they bring Part 4 and its expansion.

Does it have a "Previously on Uncharted" video that gives your a brief rundown of the first 3 games?

This is from the PlayStation blog about their decision not to bring the first three. A load of tut if you ask me.

Now, you may be wondering why we didn’t start with the original Uncharted. We felt that, while Nathan Drake’s first three adventures from the PlayStation 3 console still stand the test of time narratively, they would require a major overhaul visually to stand-up to modern PC releases and the expectations players may have.

The Uncharted franchise comprises standalone adventures that players new and old can jump into, and so while there’s still incredible stories and character development in those first three games, we felt players could easily dive into Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and pick up Nathan, Elena, and Sully’s stories. Especially with the introduction of new characters like Sam Drake, Rafe Adler, and Nadine Ross, A Thief’s End offers so much to players regardless of their history getting into and out of trouble as Nathan Drake. And Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, which is also included in the collection, offers a new playable protagonist in Chloe Frazer. Fans who know the original trilogy will be delighted to see her return, but newcomers will have no trouble understanding her wonderful story by starting with the collection.

And so, these two games, both developed on more modern hardware, and also receiving a remaster for the PlayStation 5 console, felt like perfect candidates to introduce the franchise, and Naughty Dog, to modern PC players.

Running extremely well all maxed out until I reach the part where you are required to pickpocket a key card from a waiter at an auction, it freezes the moment I finally lift the card, I tried various things but the same thing happens.
I tried an online suggestion to run an earlier Nvidia driver but it then went through 1/2 hour of shader re-settings and then froze at the same point in the game. I think I'll uninstall and reload it.

This is another fantastic PC release :D so well optimised as well. Sony will hopefully bring more titles like this to PC as I think it will sell strongly over the winter months ;)

Yet most PC exclusives are horribly coded.

I kinda wish they expanded the Advanced Graphics settings more, like the above review points out, there are missing options, and there exist pointless ones. Also there are some details missing on the PC that the PS5 version has, like distant items that don't render. Also, the texture quality appears to be not that much better ()if at all) compared to the PS5 version in fidelity mode.

What we do get though is unlimited fps and a nice smooth stable port, so there is that, oh and ultra-wide support. I do welcome the advanced audio options though like choosing your speaker setup and angle of speaker point source etc, if only the gfx settings were this granular.

I cannot figure out if its for me as it seems to be cinematic after cinematic with very little control of the main character, that and the freezing for no apparent reason.
