United States Grand Prix 2013, Austin - Race 18/19

Same here. The video was 20 min delayed but had the correct sound, but then the original sound would try and fight against it after a few mins - very strange. With that and the delays due to fog and the helicopter, I've left it until FP2 now.

Been fine on my tablet all session, except I can't seem to find where you set the quality and its fluctuating all over the place.

I'm not sure it's a good attitude but it's the kind of attitude you expect from a top F1 driver; I imagine his first season will be something of an "education".

Many drivers have entered F1, having won everything they have done before.
They arrive in F1 and are shocked.
I remember when Briatore was getting drivers to team-up with MSc at Bennetton. Jos Verstappen arrived and Lehto had a huge reputation. MSc used to lap some of his team-mates.

Formula One is a completely different animal to other formulae and in recent years only, Hamilton has successfully entered the sport and made immediate impact. The other driver is Grosjean (it took him about 1 year to show his potential).

It'll be interesting to see how the new boy does, but don't expect him to be able to match or beat Button.

McLaren could get lucky and produce a car that is horrendously fast, but based on past performance, I'd say they will be behind RBR, Merc and Ferrari.

If rumours are true, McLaren are preparing to bring in Alonso in 2015. The question has to be why are they waiting? Is there no urgency? Have they written off 2014. Do McLaren know something that we don't?

As for this race: I expect it to be a borefest. Another win for Vettel. If he gets this he will be ahead of MSc in the 'most wins in a row' record (Ascari holds the record).

To even think that a driver could win 8 races in a row is quite astounding, so RBR and Vettel will do well if they can achieve this.

That's the same problem I was having, also if I used a pop-out window I had no sound. Very strange.

I doubt it. They've been near the front for the last few FP sessions, and nowhere in races.

No, they haven't? fastest Williams have been was a 9th and 1 second behind in fp1 last race, 1.6 and 1.3 behind in the following two sessions and it was only the first practice session in the last race they tested running without coanda. That was a test for next season as well, then both drivers said essentially it hugely improved the car, so they didn't put the coanda back on.

3rd in FP1, without rain/some kind of weird session, is a drastic improvement for Williams this year, they haven't been remotely close to that.

Charles pic 0.6+ seconds behind Rossi.... ouch.

Kovalainen only .2 off Grosjean, not bad at all for the first session.

Nice to see. Hopefully he can match him all weekend. That would definitely be good for his future. :)

And there you have the difference between a talentless waster with a large budget and someone who's actually a decent driver. :p

JB 3 place grid penalty... do'h, nothing really dangerous but overtook while the red lights were flashing out on track. Bit odd/retarded to miss it. If he makes it to Q3 I would be very surprised to see him bother going out at all now.
