I think he doesn't cope with pressure or expectation of the team very well. In 2007 he was in an underperforming Renault and outscored the Experienced Fisichella, and finished ahead of him in every race from Canada onwards.

I will admit he was lacklustre in the McLaren, but I feel that was more due to the team being gravitated around Hamilton and as I mentioned, the teams expectation of results.

He destroyed every team mate he had at Caterham with the pressure off. Again this weekend, no one is really expecting him to do well as he's jumping in an unfamiliar car and he's keeping pace with Grosjean very well.

He certainly has the one lap speed, although his long run pace is ~0.6 off, but I'd imagine that is simply due to not being used to making the Pirellis last.
 
Wow are they still crying about Buttons penalty?

On another note, check out the astro turf behind the curbs. And check out how much the drivers aren't crossing the limits of the track. Such a simple solution, the FIA seem oblivious to it!

I know what you mean. The ones on the Ferrari seem to be seperaring from the car at the side pod while the RBRs feed around to the rear wheels.

Fascinating stuff.

Yes you're right, just because he's british he should totally be allowed to pass under a red flag and accelerate, don't forget he was accelerating up a hill that he couldn't see over the other side. For all he knew there was a bad accident on the track just over the hill, accelerating fairly hard and overtaking under a red is one of the worst things you can do.

But actually try and use some logic, the main thing I was doing was complaining about the actual commentary team but don't let that stop you. Is there any other driver they(and to be fair it was mostly, the guy whose name I can't remember who usually does the stuff on the big screen, replays and the like). Herbert later on basically said he was talking rubbish himself. But most of the team were acting like Button didn't do anything wrong.

So try and actually read, I was complaining about the coverage of what Button did rather than what Button did himself. Can you really not see the distinction?

It would be like if instead of Grosjean causing that horrendous and ridiculous crash, Button did it and the team instead of being absolutely disgusted with what he did, defending it. No I'm not comparing passing a red flag or suggesting what Button did was that bad. If Maldonado/Grosjean had done what he did, the sky team would not have defended it in the slightest.

As said, MUCH later on Herbert basically said that view was moronic. The difference being Herbert was on camera for 2 mins at the end talking about it, the other guy talked from start to finish of practice every 5 mins talking about what a terrible penalty it was.
 
MB is right, there's basically no rear end on the Williams at all!

That low gearbox and removing the coanda bodywork has left a massive area of nothing.
 
Did you see bit where Malthamarto got asked if he will be in the black or gold car and he just grinned to say yes.

Proper hope he doesn't get a seat, be proper funny! Knobhead....
