Only Max get,s a penalty when he cross the line Nobody else the hole weekend

Interesting to look at the times, Kimi obviously slowed as the 5 second penalty only put Max slightly behind him. I wonder if he'd slowed even more whether the penalty would be 10 seconds?

So Bottas does the same to Max and there is no penalty, Max does the same and gets a 5 second penalty WTF FIA.....

Passing with all 4 off track. Lol to the ones saying it was OK. if it happened to you on track, you would be outraged, and rightfully so

Glad the FIA called it before the podium

Great drive from Max nonetheless

Pity for Alonso, Hulk and Ricciardo. Wonder where Ricciardo would have finished? The RBR had really good race pace

Also congrats for Sainz, and a great fight with Ocon. Good for the future

Kyv did well to get some points, and maybe save his drive - but TBH without others misfortunes he would not have been in the points - but he was there to capitalize

There's hardly a highlight clip being shown where a car doesn't exceed the track limits.

Where's the consistency.

When you go wide and lose time, no one really cares. When you cut across the track limits and make an overtake on the inside that you otherwise couldn't, and the other guy's team protests because a podium is at stake, you're going to be on thin ice.

When everyone was doing it all weekend unpenalised, you have to agree it's a little inconsistent to penalise max?

In FP3, they stated that they had relaxed rules on track limits coming out of specific turns on the track. As far as I could see, no one apart from Max used this to overtake another car?

They either need to enforce the track limits everywhere for everyone or build in a physical deterant like grass or gravel to slow them down like the old days. There’s no penalty for getting it wrong on a lot of tracks. Get it wrong and just use the get out of jail free run off...

It was a cut corner, can't really dispute it
This. Suck it up, thems the rules.

Did anyone else see a giant eagle shadow across the track during the race?

They were? Who?

Bottas didn't. He took a longer line. Verstappen cut the corner and was the only one to overtake cutting a corner all race.

It was disappointing, especially the way it was done post-race, but even the split opinion here, normally pro-Verstappen, shows there's two ways of looking at it.

Coulthard made a good point after the race - why is there even so much space on the inside of that corner to allow it? There's no safety justification, it's just a stupid sea of kerbs and tarmac.

All said Kimi was silly for even giving Verstappen the chance to overtake. Just turn in a bit earlier and there wouldn't have been space for Max.

I can't think of a single other person this weekend who cut the INSIDE of the corner. Running wide, ok, there were many who did that. But cutting the inside of the corner, no.

And Verstappen has called the stewards retards... That'll go down as well as a turd sandwich.
