University: where and what?

So why post in this thread? :p
To justify his decision not to go to university, obviously. Hence the "I haven't got a degree but I have a car and a house and X amount of money". That's great. Woo for you!

Why on earth would I be?

The university versus job debate is so incredibly common, and most of the views from both sides are so incredibly dull and repetitive. You'll hear people shouting about how they're three years ahead like that means anything at all, and you'll hear people with degrees shouting about average salaries for graduates compared to non-graduates. The belief that there's a 'right' decision and a 'wrong' decision is fallacious. Different things work better for different people.

To come into a thread asking what people are studying and launch into your spiel about how you don't go to university and you have a job and a car and a house and a yacht and and and... is pointless. So you didn't go to university - that's fabby for you, but I don't think anyone really cares!

How are you finding it? Im doing it at Northumbria in Sept.

t'is a great course at the moment, seems to be quite heavily programming orientated, but it's all interesting stuff :)

Oh, how is that? I'm starting at same uni and same course this year!

Pretty much what una said. Decent course mainly except one module (CSC 164) which is fairly hardcore with crap teaching. :(

Its Alex, and yeah I agree with the 164 comment. It cant be very easy to teach that module though. Not looking forward to the exam in it, looking at the past papers hehe. Next year looks like its going to be more Maths/Algorithms stuff and less programming.

First year physics at university of Warwick, near Coventry

Exams at the beginning of june, but to celebrate - Foo Fighters in Hyde park on the 17th then off to Rome with my girlfriend for a week.

Coming to the end of my first year of Computer Science at Royal Holloway. It's been good so far, minus the whole Infinite Structures module... that was *yawn*.

I don't care for DFA/NFA construction.

Good summation. :p

Gap year at the moment, but off to Bristol Uni in october for a Physics Masters. Might cut down to a bachelors, though, as I have a load of mates there already, with most of them doing 4 year courses, so I'd end up being there and graduating at the same itme as them. But I have a while to decide yet.
