if ur using the bios that some1 linked saying this is the unlocked bios for asus bin it. tried it myself dont work cant clock high in ccc not even past 880 that should be stock. find the package to flash ur cards on guru3d.com best bios to date. ;)

That's all I've done so far, maxed out the CCC. I'll play more with it soon though coz I've got the dreaded man flu. :D

I'll be keeping an eye out for to see how far you get with water and pushing them further.

both cards was @ 950 on core 1440 memory. just need to put on water now.

what are you using to volt them ?
it was a 6950 asus unlocked shaders bios, not 6970, 880 core is 6970 is it not ? 810 is asus 6950

yes it is unlocked to all shaders but it keeps the 6950 clocks, voltage, memory timings. some 6950's can't handle 6970 memory timings. and smart doctor DOESN'T work with asus 6970 bios on other cards.

also in smart doctor enable overclocking range enhancement to up the limits

 epic fail by me

many thanks

now my next question, whats a safe voltage to try and get 900 core ?
highest i can go on default volts is 850

please forgive my ignorance and for going OT, but what is lasercutting and I assume it somehow stops the cards BIOS / Hardware / Software settings being changed?

with that bios i got 920/1420 with 1.2v

but that bios was laggy as hell for me so i went back to the asus 6970 bios

ok thanks muggs....whats the max volts i should never excede

can you set the volts with smart doc and up the clocks via AB ? slides on smart doc only do 840 ??? <--------- fixed

Is there any way to make the sliders on smart doc less sensitive ? Can't set the clocks to what I want because the slider is crazy
Im I still able to use AB as well as this, I use AB for osd temps and in game temps

I have successfully unlocked my ASUS 6950, although I found that the 6950 unlocked bios unstable so I am using the asus 6970 bios at 890/1375 which is stable.

So by doing this do I loose the ability to tweak the core voltage?

just use the voltage control in smart doctor, and use ccc or afterburner for the clocks

no.

on non asus cards, only asus 6950 bios works with smart doctor

if u have a asus card it should still work.
