It's not necessarily rim size, but tyre size that affects the price.

e.g. PS4S 265/35R19 @ £324.90 / tyre
PS4S 275/35R19 @ £201.85 / tyre

More than £120 cheaper per tyre to go 10mm wider, presumably because 275 is a more popular size than 265.

Hmm I got them 265/30/19 for £200 each in March.

The front are 235/35 though and were £175 each in July last year!

Just bought a full set of PS4's. Looking forward to replacing the 7 year old Conti CS3's that I inherited when I bought the car :)

Im waiting on mine being delivered also. no clue whats on the impreza i got but on my previous car had the rainsport 3 tyres. very happy with the grip but the sow side wall was annoying so hoping these meed and exceed expectations.

I liked the Rainsports, I had a set on my Impreza STi. The sidewalls were soft but quite forgiving in that they let you know when the grip was right on the limit.

What's considered the pick of the bunch at 16"?

Not after track day performance but I do like to have a play when I can, PS3s are available in my size but don't know if they're still a good pick?

Didn’t realise my rears were down to the wear indicator. I guess the warm roads have masked any loss in grip. Thought I had changed them recently, clearly not. Didn’t even have an advisory in the recent mot??

Replacing them with Eagle F1s that I have heard good things about and were on offer.

Not sure on 16" tbh, looking for all round performance?

Pilotsport 4 or Eagle F1 are my go-to on daily cars.

PS3 were noticeably worse for dry grip on road than PS2 and Eagle F1s, I really disliked them. Never had to stamp on the brakes so not sure about wet braking but in my experience wet grip difference was negligible between those 3.

Surely the Dunlop equivalent to ps4/f1 are the ones I have which are sportmaxx RT2 from memory?

They're a very good tyre in terms of wet and dry grip however the life has been poor, I'll be lucky to see 10k out of a front set.

If it really is the blue response I'm sure they'll be ok but I would also consider the equivalent Goodyear/Continental (premium contact) tyre or even hankook k125's

Bluresponse are probably the best in smaller or uncommon sizes for which none of the uhps are available.

Have had Goodyear efficientgrip performance which have comically soft sidewalls , conti premium contacts which are typical conti poor longevity, Michelin primacy 3 which were fairly ok.

The Dunlop's at least have fairly stiff sidewalls and inspire some confidence. Wet weather grip is as good as any others but a few people on here found them poor. I have them currently on my focus in 215/55

i love my Dunlops BluResponse on my Focus as well (205/50/17)
so good that when i first used them on my 16"'s before changing to the bigger wheels i bought them for my 17" soon as the contis needed changing, Contis wear and grip are worse than the dunlop for me
