Unreal Tournament news on the horizon!

I just installed this! i had no idea it was available. Bloody brilliant! so much fun.

Even though its not complete, its so much fun to play. And some of those music tracks are epic.

to think this game is 17 years old!

What was your nickname in UT? I think |A|Eric posts on here, and XLV|Changling to I think, oh and Cool Hand Luke's from DOA and Ghost, as well as morba and rev billy g

I bumped into {G}Wnk a few times on public servres in the new UT alpha
 
Im sure i remember the names Changling and morba from when I used to play UT99. There was a whole clan i played with that played SOF2 but can't remember the name
 
I'd love a proper UT. Back to it's roots, assault maps present. I've zero clue why no (ok, no popular, that I noticed) shooters not done assault maps. I LOVED how different some of those were (e.g the train).

IIRC, Assault came in with UT2K4, and the problem with them is they were very hard to make them balanced for both defenders and attackers, so Epic did half a dozen and then abandoned the gametype (as they did with many of the gametypes over the life of the UT series).
 
Loving deck16 instagib in this. Still a WIP map but layout is exactly how it was before and the gameplay remains the same. It even has the same music i think... Just ising the UE 4 engine.

ID should have done the same with Doom 4 but then it probably wouldnt run on consoles that are 3 years old. It would be like playing Doom 2 on a 486 like I did at a friends (as my parents couldnt afford one and his could)
