Upcoming Concerts

Never thought i would ever be cheering Marti Pelow and Jason Donavon but just saw them in the fantastic War of the Worlds at Nottingham last night .
Missus has got me tickets for The Wall at Wembley next year so cant wait for that , although it is standing and the last time i stood at a concert was some thrash gig at Newcastle riverside in the 80's

Saw Thin Lizzy @ the Limelight, Belfast on Wed night (past)...was rather good, saw them back in last '74 (before) they hit the 'big time', but have to admit it was rather a long time ago so as to be able to compare the two performances...

I need to stop buying tickets to gig's. Bought in the last week, The Bronx, Finch and Slam Dunk Festival. Add on a few beers and it's an expensive night out. Oh well, YOLO and all that jazz.

My Bloody Valentine

When and where are you seeing them?!?!

Saw them a few christmases ago when they did the all tomorrows parties christmas festival (2009 now) and they were quality live!

Edit, actually bought tickets to see them in London next year :D well excited for it now!

Plus a reminder of other gigs next year include the Deerhunter festival in teh summer as well as field day (bat for lashes are there this year which will be good)

Went to see Hawkwind last night, wasn't quite sure what to expect but was really surprised at how good it was and how packed it was in Bedford!

Every band now needs a theremin player and some women dressed up as spirits or something...

Paul Carrack last night at the Cadogan Hall. Very good polished performance, worth catching if you can.

The security guards handing out earplugs? Yep... I should have paid more attention. They were seriously loud that night!

That was the last ATP I went to, mainly to see Bob Mould and Dirty Three though. I started falling asleep during No Age and convinced myself Mould wouldn't be coming out to play Husker Du stuff, so I went to bed. He turned up on stage 30 seconds after I left... I almost burst into tears when I found out what I missed :(

Quite tempted by the Deerhunter ATP ths year, but think I may wimp out and just catch Pere Ubu when they play in town. Got Louis C.K. and Rob Delaney shows to look forward to before then though :)

No way someone else went! That was a brilliant weekend :D (and was the reason I handed in my dissertation proposal late for 3rd year...)

The ear plugs were essential and helped out loads for lightening bolt. How did you fall asleep during no age?? They are always loud and over the top... Shame about Bob Mould! I vaguely remember that.

My highlights were Spectrum in that smaller upstairs bit, probably the best time iv seen them play and hammering house of the dead 3 to Kevin Shields mucking about on guitar for an hour! Best way to enjoy music.

Ah go on don't bail on the Deerhunter one in the summer. Me and a mate have been saving for it since it was announced, all of their good albums (and hopefully most their EP's) as well his Atlas Sound project and some other gems! It's my replacement to a summer holiday...
