*hides credit card*people always act like they're future proofing, but more times then not that upgrade itch happens and you never keep it as long as you first intended

Says who?I've kept my laptops for over 5 years in the last 20 plus years.people always act like they're future proofing, but more times then not that upgrade itch happens and you never keep it as long as you first intended
I think the HomePod Mini and AirPods Max are due a refresh at some point.Well Apple are going to allow studio and 13” air and pro trade ins on WWDC day so I’m guessing those are being refreshed.
you're an exception then! Im quite the opposite, I buy things thinking im going keep for a longer time than I actually do, because sometimes a good deal just happens to come by with noticeable improvements.Says who?I've kept my laptops for over 5 years in the last 20 plus years.
I also keep my desktop main motherboard and psu for like 6 plus years and only update the ram and gpu when needed and I'm a hardcore techie
Then some people did not buy correctly first time...you're an exception then! Im quite the opposite, I buy things thinking im going keep for a longer time than I actually do, because sometimes a good deal just happens to come by with noticeable improvements.
Ive seen the same happen here as well where people tend to upgrade earlier than expected for a variety of reasons
Gurman
hahahahahahahahahahaha *breathe* hahahahahahahahahah
The man who predicts something. Then three months later, he predicts the opposite. Then he changes his prediction again. Eventually something sticks.
I find it fun guessing what is going to happen. I don't take anything as fact. Kinda the same as guessing who is going to win in the next cricket match.I refuse to read all these idiot rumour blogs these days, they're all full of absolute crap like Gurman. From a wishlist to a captain obvious to delusional. Smug as anything when their caption obvious rumours turn out to be true and silence or defensive when they're shown to be barking up a tree in the wrong universe. I absolutely despise them and their clickbait.

Interesting to see where this is going to go. Sooner or later they will run into a dead end, as both Intel and AMD have at various points in their history.
Yes this is the one that grates on me the most. I too give all these clickbait videos an extra wide birth and Max Tech is almost a parody of itself now it's so ridiculous. This will be another excuse for YouTubers then to label the M1 air as only good enough for taking notes on in class. When a few years ago they were marvelling at being able to edit 8k video. Progress can be a funny thing.
Ah, so that’s why it’s £200 for 8GB or RAM.One advantage they have over Intel and AMD is that they can throw unlimited money at the problem and solve it that way.
Being able to outbid anyone to get TSMC's best and greatest nodes also helps here.

But I totally echo your point - at the time, the M1 Air was 'good enough' for some YouTubers so run their "business" and now all of a sudden that model is now useless. It's like the old washing up liquid ads from the 90s where the latest Fairy (other brands are available ) could leave your dishes sparkling but once the newer Fairy came out suddenly the old one was crap -almost like dirt had built up an immunity to it .
