Twice the single threaded performance of your 3570k, and 10x the multithreaded performance
hardly a surprise considering the 3570k is over 10 years old at this point! Saying that very impressive thats its lasted this long in the first place

I have the 8GB M1 Air and it is surprisingly good and handles much more than I thought it would. Web browsing, eBook reading and note-taking are great on it.This. A million times this. I'd be happy with even an M1 MacBook air but I will have a million tabs open and 8gigs is just pathetic as a base spec.
MBP 13" comes with 8 and 256 at £1349 but even a MacBook air should come with a base spec of 16gigs of RAM and 512gigs of storage.the air models are stuck on 8gb still sadly, but the macbook pro's are 16gb base right?
Yes, that's fine and for my mom who just wants a trouble free experience with that use case and the price isn't too much of an issue, I'm cool spending the money in that situation.I have the 8GB M1 Air and it is surprisingly good and handles much more than I thought it would. Yeah that’s fine it’s still not ok for a modern computer to cost £1000 minimum and only come with 8gigs of RAM.when the M1 Air first came out there were plenty of people testing the 16gb version vs 8gb version. The 8gb version was still fine editing something like 72 audio tracks simultaneously in Logic Pro, but lagged a tiny bit behind the 16gb versions when doing 96 tracks. Video editing was similar i.e. not much better with 16 gb, and same with compiling.
Apple are making hand over fist profit with these devices and are a huge company who couple easily give up a relatively tiny amount of profit per machine to give you the extra storage and ram so they don’t need you to stand up for them.
My biggest mistake was getting the 512GB M1 Mac Studio. I should have upgraded to the 1TB model. But I'm happy I got the 32GB of RAM though.
Yeah. I have 2TB and 512GB external drives.External storage should be easy with the Studio.
There are other perks.People spend over £1000 for web browsing or writing an essay or whatever? Dumbest purchase ever.
