US election 2012

Private jets were streaming into Boston’s Logan International Airport Tuesday afternoon, officials said, as Mitt Romney’s well-heeled supporters arrived for his post-election party in the Seaport District.

Edward Freni, director of aviation for Logan, said an unusually large number of Gulfstream corporate jets were looking to park at the airport by late afternoon on election day. Logan had accommodated 80 of them by 4:30 p.m., roughly double the 40 to 50 it sees on a typical day, he said.

Romney to start lighting cigars with $100 bills and opening $1000 bottles of champagne if he wins :D :D

On principles, I want Obama even though I concede he was a disappointing president in his term.

A little bit of me wants Romney just to mix things up.

Obama failed to get both sides to work together. He lost the Senate after 2 years which means the Republican blocked everything after that so he couldn't do anything at all. A lame duck president, what Bush was in his last 2 years.

Clinton famously would get on the phone late into the night asking for advice from everyone, waking up people from their sleep. Obama is famous to study the issues by himself in his study. He is an intelligent man but a solitary man, on that front he should take a leaf out of Clinton.

Ah, glad that NBC has made their live stream available to international users. I'm used to Brian Williams and Co. now so they shall be my viewing choice this eve.

^^^ Two of the many sites reporting vote counts as they come in. Not sure on the delay in updating - if anyone has a better link then post it up!

Kentucky and Indiana are both reporting now, but with <2% of precincts. Still, Romney will win both of these states - that's really not in doubt.

Hah, I'll just stick to BBC. I'm not needing to refresh multiple websites so I get the result a couple of seconds before anywhere else.

Hmm, it is a bit naff. They've had 20 minutes of adverts in just half an hour! LOL. Maybe it will improve from midnight.

EDIT: Seems it starts at midnight. The last half hour has just been Nightly News.

ITV has the same stream but they fill in when NBC goes off for a nap :p

Huffington Post is what I'm using for votes coming in as well.

Indiana is called for Romney.

Can we please avoid the pointless posts which is just repeating what the TV/websites are saying, like "Indian is called for Romney". Anyone interested will be following, and it just clutters up the forum. Add some analysis/thought or something. Please!

Well, I'm going to be working through the night tonight (yay for deadlines and procrastination) so having the TV on isn't really ideal. Refreshing a page every few minutes is ideal for me - plus I get the raw information without listening to cringe-worthy analysis of every minute detail :p
