US Open 2021

Regardless of what happens in this match, whoever wins is going to find it tough to recover for the next round.

Edit: 2-1 Murray, didn't expect this level of tennis from him after 3 hours. If anything, Tsitsipas looks to be struggling more at the moment.

The progress he's made in the time between Wimbledon and the US is phenomenal and he had the thigh injury during that time as well. I was expecting a 3 or 4 set loss but this is ridiculous.

Edit: Murray mocking Tsitsipas by requesting a medical timeout was genius :D

Yeah, it was a good match, great to see AM fighting like that, hopefully he can stay injury-free.

Bit of needle there at the handshake. We'll see if AM says anything else on the matter.

A pound says the next time these two meet AM wins!

The media don't seem to be wanting to talk about it but the problem isn't just the lengthy and strategic timeouts, it's what Tsitsipas is possibly doing when he's off court.

Bending the timeout rules may not necessarily be classed as 'cheating', but being coached definitely is, which is what I think Murray was getting annoyed about.

Cincinnati recently...

Things like that just make me want to turn away from the sport, tbh. Athletics, football, snooker... tennis is the only one left I still follow.

Even if it was 100% proved I doubt the tennis authorities would do anything about it, that's if they actually make it public knowledge in the first place.

Bit of momentum gathering over Tsips long breaks during matches.

Annoys me when it happens, I remember a few of the women pushing it as well at Wimbledon.

Hopefully they change the rules.
