The cop was right(under their system of rules) to shoot. We cant really understand living with guns so we judge from our perspective.

Personally I hardly blink an eye over these shootings anymore.

I guess 'lil homicide' (his gang name) should have been clear that he had put the gun down, instead of doing it behind his back so that the policeman couldn't be sure if he had a gun or not.

He was shot literally in the same second he did hold a gun, this is clear from the bodycam footage/timings. Its literally a split second movement.

You're wasting your time trying to reason with people blinkered by an agenda. The facts don't matter to people like that.

I cba quoting the running man as he's been on ignore for sometime. What I will say is don't sit there having an argument of "well he didn't do what the police said" to justify someone being killed then when someone does do exactly that justify the killing. He was told to put his hands up, he put his hands up.

The issue is guns full stop. Moving his hands when the officer thinks he has a gun ends with him being shot, the case last week where the occupant of the car kept his hands visible at all times despite the officers asking him to get out of the car makes a lot more sense when viewed like this.

He's dropped the gun (stupid to have in the first place) as instructed then put his hands up. He's literally following the commands of the officer. This is exactly why that person last week did that...yet he was criticised by the usual suspects lmao.

I mean how clear can he be with his hands literally above his head?

I can only assume I'm blocked as you have persisted to lie about what the officer said.

For everyone else just remember that people don't react in absolute real time. Around .8 of a second before the shot the gun was being held down by the suspects leg.

The cop would have perceived the suspects turning motion ( towards him) and him raising the hand which had been holding the gun.

You don't get to 'freeze frame' in real life!

There are plenty of videos online showing where it has gone sideways for US cops, including when they cop already has their gun or taser drawn, because then human brain just cannot react quickly enough.

You are literally lying... again

Don't have a gun on you --> you don't get shot.

Sorry but I have VERY little sympathy towards people like this, regardless of their age.

*and yes I realise that there are instances where officers thought the individual had a gun, but still got shot.

Oh come on. Pretty different scenarios you must see that right?

One was a traffic stop thst I'm sure many officers in the US would label as routine.

The other was a cop chasing after someone that had a gun in the dark. And he didn't drop the gun in front of the officer he literally hid it behind the fence. The officer had no visual clue to know that the offender was not still holding the gun

The only victim here is the Police officer who was put in the horrendous position of having to shoot a 13 year old kid or be killed himself, then he's demonised by low testosterone males on the internet for protecting his community, himself, and the law abiding general public.

Haha pot, kettle, black when it comes to hormone problems. From your attitude in your posts to even your name choice, it screams hormone imbalance.

As for the kid, play stupid games, win stupid prizes. America has made its own problem here and appears to revel in it.

I have no strong opinion on this either way to be honest. I just find it weird that so many of you care so deeply about US policing.

Problem is the rioters will be out in force over here when it all kicks off again in America, they seem to think people are being shot every 5 minutes by police in this country as well.

Unless ofcourse you're called Kyle Rittenhouse...someone else who is defended on this very forum who walked the streets with an AR-15.

Hey, guys member before covid and it was kids shooting kids? I member.

Except, "walking the streets with an AR15" is actually legal in many states, see this just proves how ignorant you are, you know nothing except what fits your agenda.
