Valve cooking up something...?

As much as I dont want to hype. I just remember how I felt watching that HL2 tech demo 11 years ago and I get hyped again :D

Steam is bringing the best games and user-generated content to exciting new destinations. At GDC 2015, we’ll be giving demos of the refined Steam Controller, new living room devices, and a previously-unannounced SteamVR hardware system.

With the introduction of SteamVR hardware, Valve is actively seeking VR content creators. Are you a developer or publisher interested in experiencing the new SteamVR hardware? We’ll be giving scheduled VR demos during the week of GDC, March 4th-6th, 2015, at Moscone Center in San Francisco.

Damn son, you really know how to put the fizzy, yellow fluid all over my chips!
Not totally surprised but im not excited by that little lot! :D

I'm pretty excited about some competition for the Rift, however SteamOS and SteamMachines in general have had a pretty lukewarm response so I'd imagine they're going to need a decent title to launch this with.

Probably won't be annouced now, unless it's a "one more thing" style job.

Chet walks of stage, crowd happy but not wowed by SteamVR. Lights go dim, lamdba logo displayed, "Welcome to the H.E.V mark 6 protective system, for use in hazardous environment conditions..."

I think we could quite possibly be seeing Half Life 3 within the next 3 years, valve used HL2 as a technological showpiece and it is about time they did it again for this gen :)

Valve are working towards some sort of virtual reality system. They've been recruiting positions related to this for a month or so now. How soon something comes of it is another story altogether mind! :D

Valve's never going to release a VR product; they are just helping others bring it....this has been said more than once and with their main VR man leaving...

Hmmmm....looks like Valve might be back tracking on what they've been saying for last 3+ years; they are working on AR *which they abandoned* and started working on VR but their VR wouldn't ever be a public offering..

*edit 2*

Yep they might be showing it off; but company is still saying they won't release it to the public.....we'll see

I'm a bit similar to SS-89 in that I've kind of lost enthusiasm for a new game from Valve. That said, it would be nice to see/hear confirmation of either HL3 or EP3 in development, or even LFD3.

You just never know with Valve. They may have been working on any of the above in total secrecy much like they did with HL1 & 2 and then just drop the announcement like a H-Bomb.

Personally I think they're just taking the proverbial now.

The time/date slot of the presentation where there's no chance they'd be airing the game just smacks of douchelordery.
