Pay attention boy! /Mr Bronson mode off.
It's a *little* rough going down to 75hz, but as long as you pretty much lock it to that with few dips then I've found it to be doable (a lot moreso than 60, which is just horrid now!).
You'll have to give it 24/48hrs though to get used to it.
Think I`ll try a bit of gaming on one of my sons PC's @ 75mhz to see how it is, although had a go on Fortnite and it seemed okay.
I'm on a 2012 Dell 60Hz eIPS.No **** @Hades !! Even 75hz will be a good upgrade for ya
I spent £1k on this monitor in 2007 as it was the first good 30" 2560x1600 and don't regret it. It has been so good over the years that my next upgrade will include a very good monitor. If you get a good one they will last many years and multiple builds. Like you I am upgrading everything. But I can't decide on 4K or ultrawide.I'm on a 2012 Dell 60Hz eIPS.
My next upgrade is ... well, everything, but the monitor situation needs to be addressed
Sadly mostly these days I don't have time like I used to to fully research things.
I'm wondering if it's worth buying a monitor or a 27" TV instead.
Defo (100%) don't want TN. Never TN. I lean towards IPS over VA. Or at least I did back in 2012 when I last compared the market!
A quick Google tells me there are no 1440p TVs, lol. Silly me.Go with a nice 1440p IPS 27in with at least 75hz and you’ll be fine imo. I wouldn’t go TV
Yeah it's frame interpolation. And use of a scanning/strobing backlight. Or inserting black frames. So research tv if u must so it will look good and perform good if u get one and careful of fake 200hz marketing stuff which isnt real pc type 200hz display stuff.
Phew, good news!! Don't touch Gigabyte or Asus for AMD cards, they just don't seem to know wtf they're doing when it comes to them!! (high end at least)
I went back to 4k 60hz last year for a quick test and it was hideous.
Does anyone regret getting their Vega card for £200-250 before RX5700's launch?
