VEGA IS FINALLY HERE, ITS IN STOCK ALONG WITH SOME EPIC BUNDLES & FREESYNC DEALS!!

If you're going to pay Vega 64 AIO money and running it power saver. You may's well buy a 1080Ti :p

This is true.

What i'm thinking about is this idea of AMD's extreme inefficiency, there are already mems all over the place about Vega blower heaters and jet engines....

For the sake of a few FPS... its a power efficient GPU by anyone's standard when its just running as its obviously meat to for the architecture, its not supposed to compete with the 1080TI anyway.

It just perpetuates the continuing PR disaster than is AMD's GPU's and power, the crime is its their own fault and unnecessary.

If you see Gibbo's post, you will see I was right, miners are interested and trying to buy Vega ;)

So your assumption is wrong :p

Right now I have no idea is there is any truth to it or not, but were not seeing such performance, but none of us here are professional miners. So no idea!

But that guy is also correct, a lot of gamers are buying VEGA due to FREESYNC, proven by the fact our FREESYNC monitor sales we have seen very good attachment last 24hr of people buying VEGA's and FREESYNC monitors together, mainly Samsung and LG models. :)

Thanks for the info Gibbo. Got a pre-sale question for you, about to post it, keep an eye out for that please :D

Thats awesome, just what we need to see, AMD needs R&D too.....

I mean FFS,the Vega64 air cooled card is barely 10% faster than the air cooled Vega56,with the latter have a slower core and much slower RAM but consumes tons more power.

Looking at the TPU review of Vega56,its actually a bit better than the reference RX480 in performance/watt and plenty of reviews have it consuming either a bit less or a bit more power than a RX580.

It would have been a more relevenat comparison if it was Vega 64 Air vs 1080 and in more than just AMD orientated games, anyone who buys Vega 64 AIO over a 1080Ti needs their heads checking.

Its another AMD launch,so what do you expect?? They nearly scuppered the Ryzen one too, with the lack of motherboards and all the problems.

He tested FO4 and ROTTR which are more NV friendly.

Also I don't see the point of the water cooled card either.

Even the air cooled card is not that cheap.

Are you undervolting it? i'm struggling to get the power down as far as that (anything like) with that Hash Rate on mine but i take your point.

Only with afterburner via core clock and TDP controls.

Memory is +700, core varies from card to card and TDP, but generally they do about 1300-1400 core. I dual mine with Nicehash on Dagger/Lbry and get an average of 30.5 m/hs for Dagger and 29.5 average for Lbry.

@Gibbo something you might like to consider including in your bundle deals are PSUs. The gamer with a 450W PSU is going to need an upgrade to run these cards; possibly the gamer with the 550W PSU too. (No, I'm not interested myself.)

I've had a good play with my Sapphire Liquid Cooled. In BF1 (DX12), everything on Ultra, I get around 110fps using balanced mode, and around 130 on Turbo. Pushing the memory clock to 1100 takes this to around 140, but this needs +30% power limit or the clocks start to fluctuate.

Afterburner caused no end of problems with memory clocks - probably need to wait for an update there.

The liquid card runs nice and cool - up to around 50c on Turbo mode. And mostly very quiet - far quieter than my Strix RX580 TOP OC.

I am very happy! Not sure what all the moaning is about. Don't really care about electricity costs tbh.

I am running with a 4790K @ 4500mhz, 24GB 2400mhz RAM.

Looks like i still have my core too high, thx :)

Just experiment, I really do not see any correlation between core speed and hash rate for the most popular coins, purely memory speed. I suppose if I were bored I could try lowering down to silly low core clocks just to see what happens but life is too short and all that :D

Don't touch the core clock just lower power limit which will bring the core clock down. . Overclock the memory as much as you can which should go a lot higher than what you could achieve in games.
My 1060s were running 60% power limit when mining ethereum and +800mhz memory.
On my 1080 anything above 50% power limit wouldn't improve hashrate (and that's as low as afterburner would let me go).

Sounds good that, FuryX only went to around 50c too, enjoy :)

I wouldn't bother with the Turbo mode, id just use the Balanced.
