VEGA IS FINALLY HERE, ITS IN STOCK ALONG WITH SOME EPIC BUNDLES & FREESYNC DEALS!!

Nah I've made my bed thanks, and what a lovely comfy bed it is!! This will power through games til Volta Ti easily :D

£780?? BARGAIN!! I'll have 3 :p
Hahaha. How are you finding your Asus PG348Q vs 4K? Part of me says **** it, get an ultrawide G-Sync while waiting for 4K OLED 120Hz with proper HDR. But other part of me says, sell 4K monitor add extra £700 to it to downgrade graphics?!??? o_O

Well AMD need to get the prices down to what they said in official slides and it is good to see them doing that. We will never know why it was hiked by £100 for launch. The gaming packs are a joke the games are not worth £100 and in the UK you don't get any money off a freesync monitor.

I might have considered a VEGA gpu if the Samsung monitor had £200 knocked off as well. So GPU and monitor for £900-£950 is about right that would probably make me take interest and consider swapping my gsync set up.

Hazarding a guess, that AMD saw that the RX480/580s were still selling at a ridiculous price & thought "Hey, we should up the price of the Vega. Can't be selling them at barely more than those are selling at".
Can't blame them for cashing in when folk would most likely still grab them, even if it's only miners.

Personally, I was looking forward to seeing what Vega could do & it's not a bad card. It's just a bad price. I know 1080s sold for a lot more before, but you can grab some of them cheaper now, so AMD will have to hope that those that prefer AMD will still prefer them...

For me, I'll stick with my (pre-miner price) RX480 & see where things go in a year or two.

So you are saying they were fishing to see how it would go down? That price was like a fish bait?

I'd noticed the like of a like of, but did my hardest not to be that grammar nazi hehe.
Sometimes when replying something else gets my attention and I lose my train of thought. If I forget to read my post before posting, it happens :o

Either that or dementia kicking in a bit early.

Yeah, stick with what you have and give it another year. Def pick up a Fury/X for a decent price if you can man, great cards (and will power through everything at Medium/High at 4k for a year or two).

What i would say is regardless of where people buy these cards from, check the warranty. 1 particular etailer is offering a pathetic 1 year warranty on the aio Powercolor card. When asked about this their response was:

Warranty periods are set as per the manufacturers policy. We cannot comment on specific reasoning behind their choices.

Which makes zero sense as ocuk have the same card with a 2 year warranty.
