VEGA IS FINALLY HERE, ITS IN STOCK ALONG WITH SOME EPIC BUNDLES & FREESYNC DEALS!!

If demand is exceeding expectation then its funny how i can go to 3 or 4 sites right now and order one or two with no issues.

Demand might be there for the aio one and the aluminium shroud version, but its not there for the basic black shroud version.

AMD saying that was very obviously marketing, I don't think they can afford to sell them at a competitive and reasonable price long term so they have to create the illusion it's selling well at the current price to justify not lowering it.

If it's a yield problem then it's possible that Vega 56 will be a lot cheaper but I think the HBM process is what is making them too expensive. If it's both then it's understandable AMD don't want to sell many.

AMD just can't seem to accept the fact they're at least £100 overpriced as they currently stand. Yes its using hbm which is expensive but the performance isn't there to justify the price tag. The sooner they clue into that the better, though i think that will take a while to sink in.

Something to remember once rasterisation is working that will cut down the workflow a lot and so will primitive discard, do more for less. Then there is the whole rapid packed math, although it will require the games todo fp16 that will also give vega a boost for less power.

Possibly but all that seems to be a work in progress, there's no real eta for it so it could still be months off.

ill fully aggree no eta but i doubt months. The longer they are using what are basically fury drivers not just on the rx but on the fe cards the worse it is for amd. This is there number one priority to get not just the compute but the graphics power out of these things or they will be stigmatized for years and even possibly damage radeons reputation for not just finewine but what navi is going tobe.

It strikes me as utterly stupid that they released the card in this state, ropey drivers, hardware features deactivated, and with no real estimates as to when this will all be up-to scratch. Video card launches should be the company putting their best foot forward with polished drivers and the best possible performance possible to that point, with more coming later through optimisations. This launch seems to have been mad last minute scrambling with half assed drivers, portions of the gpu essentially "turned off" and not to mention initial availability and the pricing issues.

It really is baffling how this is allowed to happen, it bears all the hallmarks of absolute chaos behind the scenes while all the while Lisa Su and Raja are on stage flapping their gums like this is a well planned and executed launch cycle.

Puzzles me to, but they would only release if close, this has tobe something todo with aib partners or something or they had to hit financial quarters for investors but FE started this ball rolling. And i dont think its a case of its all chaos, orgonized madness maybe but amd specifically set out what vega was aiming for, poor volta stickers, somehin is goin on here.

IT is a shame that retailers have to lie to their customers just to make a dollar or pound whichever you prefer. AMD announced what Gibbo stated in the OP about bundles on their site, internet searches provide a wealth of knowledge. Poor people being swindled out of their hard earned money causing an uproar in the reviewer community. Here is what AMD posted on 30 July 2017 https://gaming.radeon.com/en/rx-vega-radeon-packs/ just a mere 2 weeks before the load of BS spewed in the original post. You see it is AMD who is giving you all the great bundles not Gibbo.

Who said it was Gibbo giving us bundles? The only real bundle we get is the 2 games and that's it.

Did you not read the OP? the words "we've" and "i've" are plain as day. It is not stated that AMD set these bundles which as of their Radeon site I linked they are the ones responsible for the bundles. Not the retailer or e-tailers.

That is referring to the store made bundles. The one in America with money off cpu mobo and monitor doesn't apply in the UK.
