Can't see any £450 Vega's in there
Plenty of stock a week after launch, across different retailers tells its own story. Price v performance isn't there, so stock isn't selling. Only a matter of time until the price drops.
But not if the retailers already had to pay more than £450 for the stock. It will still need approval/rebates from the suppliers.
The retailers already paid for the stock so AMd dont neccessarily care if its selling slowly.
Aren't even the miners grabbing all the cards then?

my view of this whole price saga is this, we all understand that companies need to make a profit and this is aimed at AMD and Nvidia, a few years ago when the HD7970 came out I bought a couple from OCUK, they were under 300 each for the fastest or 2nd fastest card on the market at the time, i think it was neck and neck with the 680 if I recall, now about 4 years on we have 100% inflation of the best GPU's on the market, it's unacceptable to me and I won't spend that kind of money on a GPU (and yes I could afford to but I won't on priciple) I am running a r9 390 now, again I got a sapphire one on a black friday deal at OCUK and I think it was £225, problem for me is that there are plenty of people who are quite happy to spend £500 - £1000 + for a GPU and unfortunately whilst that happens prices will just continue to inflate, I mean how ridiculous is it that I can sell my r9 390 on auction for more than what I paid for it? I'm getting to the point where Im seriously thinking of getting rid of my rig and taking up golf or something.

Any price cuts will obviously have to come via AMD. Depends if they are happy to sit on stock, especially if they are sold on a sale or return basis. No idea what's common in pc component industry.
At most itll be 30 days, often its payment before shipment from places like taiwan
According to AMD demand is "exceeding expectations" so why would they drop the price? I think it's another Fury in that it's probably not profitable at any saleable price so they're happy for it to sell badly, they just need to be seen to be competing that's all.
If demand is exceeding expectation then its funny how i can go to 3 or 4 sites right now and order one or two with no issues.
Demand might be there for the aio one and the aluminium shroud version, but its not there for the basic black shroud version.
Well thats what i was on about above, its all good for one person togo the warehouse is full cos no ones buying them and another person togo the supplys are cycling and tons coming in now from dif aib's and there selling like hotcakes. Unless all retailers give us inventery numbers we dont have a scooby.
I honestly think demand is there for the liquid cooled and aluminium shroud and not so much for the black version. The liquid one has been in and out of stock on other sites and it never seems to last long, while all the while the black shroud versions remain in stock. The aluminium blower version doesn't seem to have been in stock anywhere since launch, but the black version has been in stock at a few places since about 2 days after launch.
