Yeah probably.

The 56 is faster than a 1080?
edit: I presume you mean a 1070?

It seemed Miners did not cared about RX Vega 64 poor mining performance but regardless no matter how overpriced RX Vega cards are, miners still buy all RX Vega 56 and RX Vega 64 cards when RX 580 are not in stocks.
A guy called Hollie in UK bought 10 RX Vega 64 cards to use for mining at 1,122 MH/s consumed 5500W.
Hollie probably bought all cards from OCUK or ebay with all cards sold all traced back to retailer OCUK.
Unfortunately RX Vega price will be very high just like RX 580 for very long time probably through to the end of 2017 and possible through 2018 too.
The LC looks good there, its just the power consumption and price.
And availability.
Yeah, and that as well
It's baffling how theres so many air cooled versions with the crap looking shroud and zero stock of the aluminium or the aio cards. Seems like aluminium is some magical element that needs to be mined by Gnomes before Gandalf rubs his staff over it (hyuk) before it can be manufactured into a shroud. And water-coolers seem to be at a premium as well as there's been nothing to say that the chip on the aio card is binned for speed, so presumably the cooler itself is the source of the holdup.

Because gddr6 will be out by the time they release any more cards
AMD love doing it.Plus AMD only do a one for all, so they can't use GDDR5 anyway, as their chips also have to do compute etc...

I think in time they'll also separate their chips like nVidia do, just don't suppose they had the funding to do it right now.
