Viewsonic 22" Widescreen is coming.....

Hmm...I'm far from an expert on this and have only started reading-up over the last couple of days, but don't the specs on Viewsonic's website say this is a TN panel with 16.2m colours, not MVA with 16.7m?

I've ordered one anyway, so whatever the panel I just hope it performs decently. The extra 2" for not that much extra cost did it for me as I currently don't have an HDTV and want to run my xbox360 through it.

Any left...in other words, is it worth me placing an order now? UPDATE...Just seen the status change on the order page so have now nabbed one.

Yes plenty left but an extreme shortage until sometime in October. Hence stock will be very short for this month, that why price has increased.

Intrigued by that too... OcUK saying it's 16.7m, yet the item description put up for it says 16.2? lol :p

I really need to hear what people think about this screen, from what i can tell about the specs it has a TN screen, not an MVA as Gibbo suggested. however this screen has a new type of TN which allows dithering which should compensate for the extra 2 bits of colour (6+2). Would be really nice to hear what the people who bought this screen think of it, I am seriously considering a purchase to replace my aging 17"! :D

Sorry guys no pictures, my bloody camera just died.. more money down the digital drain i expect.. anyhoo it's a lot nicer looking than the picture on OC makes it look, and less clunky.. WoW was my first port of call for games testing and while it looks fantastic and much more spacious now, there seems to be bit of motion blur upon moving, i'm reading the guide now to see if it's my fault.. i checked out a hi-def film (no it's not hi-def monitor, just the best quality film i've got to hand) and it looks great, no motion blur there or anything.

EDIT: Ok after a quick few rounds on DoD:S at 1680x1050 it seems there isn't any problem, the small blur on wow probably has always been there i just didn't notice it on my small monitor before and i barely notice it now.. i love my new baby :D don't like the hard to press buttons though, grrrr

can you confirm what the refresh rate is? is it 60Hz and more to the point does it actually make any difference to whether or not the screen seems to flicker?

refresh rate is 60 for max res.. don't see any flickering personally.. it's beautiful for eve.. the extra space was much needed.. only problem is finding wallpaper in the right size ;)
