You need 7 iirc for Viewsonic to return the screens. It's too complex for my liking, all this sub-pixel, stuck pixel, dead pixel malarky. :p

Unlucky Tank, what colour were they? Some people try rubbing them gently with a cotton wool bud or something, or you can download a program which alternates between colours.

Please can someone give me a link for some software to help they seem to of all gone now. Could it just be where its new and the screen needs to warm up ie brake it in?

Its hard to say sometimes tapping the screen can make them vanish/ sometimes gently massaging the screen in can do it..

Theres gonna be times when it may just pop up or never pop up.

I deal with dead pixel issues daily, such a tedious case customers just will not accept even 1 dead pixel is NOT considered faulty meh

Legally you can return within seven days if you want to, you have to pay for postage though and has to be fully packaged in original condition, just dont tell them you opened it already. :)

If even one is completely black then it should be covered by Viewsonic's Zero Pixel Defect Policy:

"Note on Pixel Defect Policy:
For any sub pixel defect (red or green or blue) ViewSonic LCD display products are warranted in accordance with the ISO standard 13406-2 class II. On pixels ViewSonic exceeds ISO 13406-2 class II requirements not allowing for any defective (permanently dark or bright) complete pixel consisting of red, green, and blue sub pixels (“Zero Pixel Defect Policy”)."

One of the main reasons for buying Viewsonic IMO.

I don't quite understand why this costs so much from OCUK, the Acer AL2216W is meant to use the same panel, has very similar specs but is availible delivered to your door for £260, that's a £110 + p&p difference
Bought one. Said it was DVI, it wasen't, didn't even turn it on. Straight back. Might try the Viewsonic VX2235WM or Samsung SM225BW both about another £50

Nasty, false advertising, all the places i've seen are showing them with a DVI connector :o
